The above sentence defies logic. Are you joking since you have no valid argument. Who were the other 40% of losses if 60% of all losses were on both sides?

Out of 60 million losses in WW2 some 38 million (27+10+1) were suffered on the Eastern front by the USSR and Germany + it 17 allies. It makes about 62% of the total losses in WW2 … as simple as that.

Peace to all.

Let’s stick to this positive stance. Now that we know that you’re not a Pole you chances to be an Albanian increased. Here you say that nation means nothing. Then why 90% of the masked are Albanians ? Nation means a lot coz one is born in certain culture, religion , national dignity ect. Nation means a lot if you’re not going to become globalist man of the world. At least I would prefer to stay a Russian whatever happens to my country. But Albanians here prefer camouflage so you may remain a Webber or Lothar or Gunther ...

(Peggy, 8 August 2014 16:40)

Sure - and based on what the Ukrainian ambassador said, it is obvious that the Ukrainian government accepts and understands this. Just read what he said. Ukraine does not expect and is not asking Serbia to act against Russia. The Ukrainian ambassador's comments were entirely friendly. The hatred expressed by some people here (not by you, Peggy) in reaction to those friendly comments is simply impossible to understand.

But I am not sure you’re a Pole because they wouldn’t do mistakes like you. No Pole will tell you about 10 000 killed in Katyn because they always start banking from 22 000. Also I have to note :

1/ Molotov-Ribbentrop pact you are talking about became possible only after stopped the transit of the Soviet troops to help Czechoslovakia and thus stop WW2. Then Pilsudski offered Hitler 1 200 000 Polish army to join him to Moscow.

2/ “Nazi's treatment of Poles” were just peanuts to what happened in Byelorussia. So don’t try to look like Captain Kloss or the 4 tankists +dog. By the way what was the Georgian’s and the tank commander's names ?

3/ Warsaw uprising was pointed against the Russians and only against the Russians so ask someone else to wipe your tears.

• You forgot to tell about 500 000 Poles to fight USSR within Wehrmacht 62 000 of them captured.

Your comment is wrong. The USSR did not get extra seats in the UN for its people's enormous suffering in WWII. If the UN gave extra seats for suffering, Ukraine would have had two seats for the holodomor genocide of 1932-33, when the Soviet leadership decided to take all grain from Ukrainian regions, and (surprise, surprise) millions of them starved to death (2.4-3.9 m., depending on whose figures you accept - Russian Academy or Ukrainian). Poland would have got at least three: 1 for Soviet/Nazi pact in which both the USSR and Germany attacked Poland, and after that the Soviets massacred some 10,000 unarmed Polish officers at Katyn (not to mention other little murders). A 2nd seat might have been given to Poles for the Nazi's treatment of Poles who were meant to be only slaves to Germans, and whose entire intelligentsia was murdered by the Nazis. And Poland might have got a 3rd seat for the Polish uprising in Warsaw against the Nazis, during which, under Stalin's orders, the Soviet Army stopped outside Warsaw and waited for the Nazis to destroy the uprising before continuing the advance. Your beloved Soviets caused quite a lot of suffering (for Russians, too). Instead, Ukraine got its in 1945 for political reasons - the leadership of the USSR maintained the illusion that Ukraine had some autonomy, while the leadership of Western countries hoped that some day those states actually would separate from the USSR. Please recall Russia left the Soviet Union first - NOT Ukraine.

1/ Because WW2 was just an episode in the that USSR conducted against the Axis with 60% of all the losses on both sides in 1945 USSR was granted 3 seats in the formed UN. Today we have 192 UN members and about 40 other de facto states that fail to become as such. But in 1945 USSR had 3 out of 52 initial seat , one had Yugoslavia. USSR was granted 3 seats for setting Europe free because 3 out of 4 Germans fought here and 3 out of 4 Germans were killed or wounded here. So what you say is just the ingnorance that you demonstrate because in the Constitutions of both USSR and USSR it was written that Ukraine was part of the USSR.

To those who claimed Ukraine is only two decades old: Actually Ukraine (like Belarus) has been a member of the UN since that organization was founded in 1945, and has always had its own vote in the UN, separately from the Soviet Union. That is something that cannot be claimed for Serbia or Russia, unfortunately. Admittedly, Ukraine didn't have independence from the Soviet Union until 1991 - precisely when Russia took the USSR's seat and joined Ukraine for the first time in the UN. So, legally Ukraine is quite well established, and culturally it has existed for quite as long as any other Slavic nation. So, we all need to play by the rules, Ukraine Supports Serbia that is fine and dandy; while Serbian cetniks patrol streets of Ukraine. Fact of the matter is Ukraine's recognition of Kosova carries no weight or value. Crimea being majority Russian native, well so is Kosova majority Albanian. So Crimea and Kosova have one thing in common, but we still need to give credit to Ukraine for not abusing Russian Natives as Serbia did abuse Albanians in Kosova. With that being said that is where Crimea and Kosova are different, we had no choice but to fight back which eventually brought Independence to Kosova and is officially recognized by 23 EU countries, and 110 countries worldwide. While the world is against Crimea's separation with the exception of 2 countries? Russia and Serbia. Ukraine, go ahead and play your cards right, although you're not because you seem to lack knowledge about Kosova.
Now, look at Macedonia and Montenegro surprise surprise!!! Don't you think there is a good reason why they both recognized Kosova? Of course there is they clearly made a firm stand and distinction apart from Serbia. They wanted the world to know they want nothing to do with a country that has committed worst crimes since WW2. You should learn a lesson from your other Slavic brothers. To sum it up I truly feel bad for the government of Ukraine.

2/ like Montenegro or Poland or Czech or Bulgaria Ukraine is a Slav state. So what if they all obey the US and do things that harm Serbia and it biggest ally ?

He reached out in friendship to Serbia. You can slap away that hand if you want, of course. I don't think Serbia (or most countries) has so many friends that it can do away with one, but I may be wrong. I'm glad you don't represent the Serbian government.

You're right, Serbia cannot afford to lose friends but Serbia also cannot lose Russia for the sake of Ukraine.

You sound more and more Albanian. Take it as an insult because one cannot be that stupid to imagine Stalin to do the things you insist on. The marasmus of your post has signs that you are a Pole though narrow minded. If I wereyou I would talk to a smart Pole first. Here we have one and his real name is Peter Sudyka.

• You also forgot to tell about the 2-nd Reserve corps (200 000 without a single shot during WW2) in Scotland …
• Anders corps to fight only one month in May 1944 …
• Strange Armia Kraiova to spend the war with their wives …

Now tell me are you an Albanian or a Pole ?

Rote, old boy, I don't know who is more idiotic: nationalists who think everything - including a personal comment - is because of the nationality of the person, and lie (even to themselves) to make reality fit that illusion; or communists who lie (even to themselves) about events in the past to fit their idealistic future. I do know that the most idiotic and biggest liars of all are national socialists. God Bless Serbia. God Bless Ukraine. God Bless Russia. Peace to all.

You said: "Serbia cannot afford to lose friends but Serbia also cannot lose Russia for the sake of Ukraine."

I fully agree with you here. It's hard to imagine that Stalin just did the things that Webber said. Stalin did much worse things like killing tens of millions of Soviets...

You can thank comrade Stalin for that.

So, are you saying that the most patriotic of Serbs are wrong when they say that UN membership means that something is a country and independent?

Ukraine is the kid that is prepared to murder his own family so that the rich neighbours might adopt him.
No thanks.

Some of you guys don't get it. The Ukrainian ambassador just thanked the Serbian government for recognizing the territorial integrity of Ukraine, INCLUDING Crimea. And the Ukrainian ambassador reminded the Serbian government that Ukraine did not and will never recognize the independence of Kosovo. For Ukraine, Kosovo is part of Serbia. He reached out in friendship to Serbia. You can slap away that hand if you want, of course. I don't think Serbia (or most countries) has so many friends that it can do away with one, but I may be wrong. I'm glad you don't represent the Serbian government.
