Actually Russia there were other reasons Russia was drawn in the war. Germany had planned to attack Russia anyways. Germany knew Russia was mobilizing and improving its forces after it was greatly embarrassed in the Russo-Japanese war and other fronts.
So Germany was using the attack on Serbia also as a way to attack Russia before it became too strong.

Plus there's the fact that Russia never even sent soldiers to Serbia to help it - Russian soldiers never got there (minus maybe a few low-quality volunteers who came on their own) - Serbia was on its own.
Russia did however force the French and Brits to rescue the Serbian army which survived the great retreat over the Albanian mountains. The French and Brits wanted to leave the Serbs to starve on the Albanian coast, but Russia threatened to pull out of the alliance if they didn't rescue the Serbs.
That showed how France and Britain were not genuine allies and actually disdained Serbs. Serbs should remember that and not be fooled by those countries' governments.

Pretty much like the Republicans and Democrats of USA and the Libs, Cons and Labour of UK?! I mean can you say a two party and three party system represent every single person and there views in there own countries!?
Problem is the west hate Putin as he brought Russia from ruins to a super power that doesn't need to go round bombing others to bring democracy or invade them... After all if Kiev junta didnt decide to ban Russian as soon as it came to power no one in Eastern Ukraine would of kicked of like they have now... Ukraine, USA want to quickly be inline with Washington, few problems Putin is ten times clever then western leaders and makes Obama look an amateur. And the EU cant ignore the fact Russia financially and security wise is going to be more important then USA and its tool NATO
