As an Englishman living in Belgrade it amazes and saddens me to see the influence that American food and drink companies appear to have here. When you consider the multitude of excellent coffee houses and fast food places in Belgrade, most of which serve excellent fresh homemade produce, why are places like McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee and the like always so busy?? I see Greenet Kafanas closing and McDonalds spreading?? Why? Is it any wonder that the obesity figures are on the rise? Due, in no small part, to the rise in popularity of these invasive unhealthy, artificial food and drinks companies. Make the switch back to the more traditional produce and you will not only be healthier but it tastes much better too and you will be supporting local businesses. It really is a no brainer, surely!!!?

See, Serbs combine everything:

Obesity from the USA, excessive drinking from Russia, and well, smoking can be considered domestic in the Balkans.
