I always avoid giving advice to Serbs. Not only because it’s mostly the Albanian and Croatian specialization who always know better what is good for Serbs and what is not. Just because I believe that Serbs can feel it on their skins while I judge everything from safe and rather prosperous Moscow. But this time I wonder what makes so many Serbs seek residence in hostile Germany. I’ve been several times there and saw a lot of people working for the miserable 500-700 euro. If someone wants a job then you should know that the salaries in Moscow start from 900 euro. You will have an advantage against the multiple Asian gastarbeiters engaged here. Besides you will also have no problems to marry a Russian and stay in this utmost friendly country. Anyway I am disappointed with the flood of Serbs seeking shelter in the West. So there must be something that I don’t know. Just like Serbs to know nothing of the current battles in the Slavianoserbsky District of Lugansk Region.

Asylum seekers anywhere in in the EU aren't allowed to work, and are subsidized through public money, taxpayers money, which is a considerable burdon on the public sector. In Germany this money actually comes from the municipal level, from the cities, and they are all in debt and simply can't afford those payments any longer.
But because of the german history, Germany still has relativly liberal asylum laws. During the Nazi rule lots of Germans also had to seek asylum in other countries in order to survive the Nazi terror, and therefore it is necessary to leave the requirments for it as low as possible. If Serbs apply for asylum here it is mostly out of ecconomic reasons, and if people from Syria or other war torn countries come here they simply have a bigger need to be given shelter and a new perspective in life.
With the visa free travel there also came a responsibility, the responsibility not to abuse asylum laws in host countries.

Actually this should be a very joyful occasion for Serbs. It is the first step towards Visa freedom, it boosts the image of your country massively to be on that list and it makes it harder for any country to make a patronizing stand towards Serbia. Also I presume the amount of Ethnic Serbs who sought refuge was comparatively low. Also to the clown who suggested that Serbs should go to Russia: The average wage of Russia is 603 Euro (in the European part), Keeping in mind how extremely expensive cities like Moscow are, this is a joke. Serbs can themselves compare this wage very easily with Central and Western European average wages. Poland, also a Slavic country has an average wage of 681 Euro while being cheaper than Russia and lacking its ressources.

Oh, this is simple. Because living standards, quality of life, freedom, average salary and some more are a lot better in 'the West' than in Russia. Okay, Moscow might have higher standards that can be compared to south of Europe, but people living outside the metropolises in Russia would be considered rich with a salary of 900€ by their neighbors, not to mention the pensioners who have to live from a few 100/month.

The only thing you both forget is the moral factor. Here in Russia Serbs can expect compassion and cooperation. Asylum seekers also can have a job here and they are free to choose a region with high salaries.

And finally don’t you find it strange that I discuss the issue with two Albanians and clonus like Yorck-ur-Rahman who hate the Serbs ? And as I said Serbophobes always know it better what is good for the Serbs. Their nightmare is strong and Serbia friendly Russia. This is why Russians are always the bad guys. For me it only means that at least we are moving in the right direction.

Being genetically Roma is not incompatible with being a Serb citizen... So, I don't really get your point. These people seeking asylum are Serb citizens - it's irrelevant what they are genetically (Roma, Hungarians, males, females, short people, tall people, hairy people, smooth people or whatever)...

Oh wow, things have improved a lot in Russia in a very short time. those salaries are much better than the Sochi salaries for the Serb construction workers just before the Olympic Games, which basically amounted to just being kicked out of Russia when time to pay them came :).

Fairly sure. Every other time when this has happened it turned out to be Roma and Albanians so doesn't take much to figure out who is doing it this time too.
