Except the referendum will be held in Serbia, not a church basement in Chicago.
Serbs have consistently voted for (at least ostensibly) EU parties since 2008. There's not a single anti-eu party in parliament. You'd think if Serbs would vote 90% against the EU as they do in your imagination, then perhaps they would have elected even ONE person to their parliament that was against the EU.
How many times have I heard that argument.. do you think people like to leave their place of birth / their homeland? Maybe if those western countries didn't destroy Jugoslavija people wouldn't need to leave their homeland for a better life. Have you ever thought of that?

Jugoslavija was destroyed because none of the other nations (even Montenegro) did not want to be under the same roof with the Serbs. I'm leaving it to you to find the reasons why nobody wanted to live with the Serbs...

But Russia has always been the brethren, the benefactor, the protector of Serbs, the one who all Serbs owe everything to, and not any of them chose to go there, but yet went to the treacherous west where their children would have to forever live in the land that stole their freedom, erased their identity.
Or maybe you are wrong and it was not the west that broke up the Y but an overzealous Serbia that wanted to be master of the kingdom.
The story just does not add up.

It is always amusing to read your rants on Germany and then sign it (from Berlin) there must be a reason you are there and not in Serbia, could it be you have a better life provided to you by the Germans??? It was really interesting to read media coverage of those visits...
Regardin Germany there was circus - like atmosphere flashing from newstand's titles.
"Historical meeting", "Markel see Serbia in EU", "Good news from Berlin" and such.
Two unoficial government publications (Informer and Kurir) even had need to express themselves in german language with titles "Danke, Markela" and "Alles fantastisch".
All was fantastic in Berlin according to sorry nitwits that are passing for journalists in Serbia today.
Then just before his visit to Russia newspapers started with dark articles...
"Will Russia blackmail Serbia?", "Russian ultimatum - change your position on Ukraine for South Stream" , etc. etc.
None of it happened, of course...
But, impression was that after nice, easy, friendly visit to its traditional ally in Berlin, Vucic had a harder task of visiting unfriendly country that has no understanding for us. Hard visit to a place from which we get only conditions, blackmails, ultimatums and threats...
Naive person, getting its story from contemporary serbian journalisam, listening to their spins that are not far behind CNN and BBC would now be shocked!

Let's see if Holland can out do Germany when they face Brazil on Saturday for 3rd place. Btw, Serbia has to face Albania in qualifiers for Euro 2016, any predictions?

Will Serbia finally embrace policy's of peace & democratic values, or will Serbia continue holding the rest of the nations in the Balkans hostage, depriving them of their democratic, prosperous and peaceful ambitions? Serbia has long played this game, it is time the democratic world demand guarantees from her, guarantees that will be acknowledged by Serbia long into the future!!!
