This must be the first time in history that Serbia wants Germany for ally. We didn't before. Germans, however, don't take "No" for an answer, and each time "no" meant war, bombing and discrimination of Serbs. Nothing changed there. Only, we no longer want to be bombed.

Serbia needs allies inside the European Union in order to progress with the joining of the EU as quickly as possible. Germany and Serbia are dtermined to be allies in general, bearing in mind geographical, political and strategic circumstances. In addition to this, the bul of Serbian foreign trade is alone with Germany, hence having Germany as an ally and supporter on the way to Europe is the best policy for Serbia. On the other hand, Germany is aware that wityhout stable and strong Serbia in the Balkans, there will not be stability in that part of Europe. Historical parallells are there as much as stable and strong Serbia are important for the stability of the Balcans, on the same way strong and stable Germany is needed for the overall stability and peace in Europe.

You have to remember that Vucic is talking about trade with Germany and investment in Serbia. Anyway the Russians have a big hand in this as Germany is very much on Russia’s side – it’s the worst kept secret that the Germen industrialists are very pro Russia and not US.

You have to remember that Vucic is talking about trade with Germany and investment in Serbia. Anyway the Russians have a big hand in this as Germany is very much on Russia’s side – it’s the worst kept secret that the Germen industrialists are very pro Russia and not US.
