Serbs are voting on republic of Kosovo ballots and recognizing Kosovo independence through oaths. Serbia has an ambassador to Kosovo, border guards, customs agents, FIFA matches for Kosovo. 63% of Serbia says Kosovo is an independent nation. Not one member of parliament is a "Kosovo is Serbia" type. Serbia has no business in this.

the serb minority in Kosovo should stop acting as if they are treated so badly, and have no rights

Where in the article above do you find Serbs "whining" about anything? Most of the provisions they'd gotten already come at great expense of fighting and struggling for those rights and voices in a state they chose not to live in, and with a government they have little reason to trust.

Last I checked, the previous government even wanted to cut the guaranteed number of seats for Serbs in half. Another unilateral action that the international community stifled before it got embarrassing. Mentioning Brussels is simply keeping the international community aware of the situation in making sure the Albanians follow proper procedure, enough in the end it's not in the Assembly in Pristina that Serbs will be able to exercise their rights; it's in the local municipalities that have extra provisions to keep Pristina at a necessary distance.

As for minorities in the rest of Serbia, I'd be careful making such statements since you've said you've never been to Serbia and it's been shown you know little beyond what you glean in Internet comment sections. Minorities in the rest of Serbia (other than some Albanians in Presevo) don't whine or complain at all and last I read, Vojvodina was lauded by the EP as a model of co-existence.

Can't say the same for Kosovo where internationally-imposed constitutional provisions need to be enforced.

I am fully aware of the Ahtissari plan and what it says about minority representation. But if you quote it, you can't just pick and choose and disregard the things you do not like about that plan. If you argue with the Ahtissary plan, you also have to look at what it says about membership in international organisations, theritorial claims against it by third parties, national symbols, missing persons, etc ... Where is Serbia's or the serb minoroties acceptance of these points? Serbia and the serb minority did not accept this plan, and can not pick the things they like now and say see, here it says .... ,and act as if the rest of that plan doesn't exist.
All I am saying is, the serb minority in Kosovo should stop acting as if they are treated so badly, and have no rights, and so on. In any other country, they would get max 5 seats in parliament, and based on the Ahtisaari plan they get 10. So stop whining. Serbia certainly doesn't give its minorities such favorable treatment.

legitimately the serb list should only get 5 seats max, and not any more. [blahblahblahblahblah] With the 10 seats reserved for serbs, the serb moinority gets preferental treatment already, but I guess all that is not enough, and they think they are entitled to even more.

It's best you familiarize yourself with what the international community refers to as "minority rights" for a "state" with disputed status. That way, the next time you feel the need to whine and complain over something you think they don't deserve, you can be be a little more informed about what the Kosovo government agreed to as a condition for sovereignty.

When your done with that, there's a number of other agreements made since and will be made hence between Belgrade and Pristina for you to read that I have no doubt will annoy you :)

Oh please stop with Brussels discussion on everything, Serbs did not come out. As per Athasari plan which you do not accept they had guaranteed seats for 2 mandates this means this is the last time they have reserved seats.

I dont know what else to do they do not accept the rules then they will have to deal with Parlament they get just like 50% of the population that did not go to election for whatever reason.

Serbia is letting the Serbs down easy to get loans and be connected to EU they have to listen to Germany and they say no entrance without accepting Kosovo, this is it. Serbias Geographical position puts it in difficult place if they were were Ukrain is then yes you can ask to be with East but sorry this option no matter how much Serbian Diaspora wants it is not possible - that will bring starvation.

legitimately the serb list should only get 5 seats max, and not any more. it is simple arithmetic:
120 (seats) : 100 x 4.2 (percent) = 5.1 seats. The 4.2 % for the serb list is a number comming from serbian sources. All other news outlets report 2.91% and than the number of seats, if a democratic representations would be considered, would only be 3.4 seats = 3 seats. With the 10 seats reserved for serbs, the serb moinority gets preferental treatment already, but I guess all that is not enough, and they think they are entitled to even more. In any other country, that party would get 3 seats, and not one more, and the serbs still cry ..... what else is new ....
