Nothing new, it happens in all countries, not just in Serbia. Germany for instance certainly had its share of these typ of scandals with the former minister of defense Von Guthenberg and its former minister of education Shavan had to to resign after they were caught. The difference is, that once these acusations are made public the person in charge, in Serbia Vucic, should not react in a way he did, and hand it over to an nutural commission to look into the case. Vucic seems to have a very short fuse when to comes to deal with criticism, as everybody must have noticed by now. He lacks a clear head, when it comes to judjing criticism, and reacts in a typical serbia way. It is always the fault of the others, never his. A bad sign, and a the typical behavior of politicians who have a tendancy towards dictatorial behavior.

Danilo: Agree entirely. Surely the question is how much he had to pay for it. If it was too much, don't let him near the Finance Ministry.

What difference does it make if someone's work at this diploma-mill is plagiarized or not? The "degree" is worthless to everyone except the Serbian politicians connected to this "school".

Yep. No arguments here. Plagiarized or not, the fact that Megatrend is even mentioned tells the quality of the dissertation.

What did Dr Stefanovic allegedly plagiarize? This article doesn't rate as one of the more focused I've read. Sure I could look it up, but I don't want to have to do that, especially when the headline purports to discuss that particular issue. As an aside, Vucic's silly ramblings, reported here on a near-daily basis (it would, in fact, be daily if B92 English still
featured anything more than sporadic weekend coverage), reinforce my view that he is among the stupidest of politicians. Maybe he plagiarized, too, back in law school. Or maybe his allegiance to Seselj and Milosevic in the early 90s served him well during his studies.
