Its actually 400 billion but we know what you meant which is sad because it is 400 billion over 30 years which is a very small fraction of what the oil to EU is worth to Russia, so the joke is really on you.
That is 1.3 billion dollars a year after a minimum 50 to 75 billion dollar investment. Sales to EU countries last year was 60 billion dollars for 1 year.
This deal was in negotiations for 10 years, do you think China caved to Putins demands suddenly or he made large concessions inorder to get the big publicity off of a multi-billion dollar deal during this time of sanctions?
It worked because the people like you see this big number and cannot understand what it really means.

They always advertise only one part of the cash flow. Before 2014 Bulgaria received some 700 Bln euro while it had to pay to EU total 800 Bln. so free cheese is always only in the mousetrap.

• Also the price is based on EQUAL INCOME COMPARED TO THE GAS EXPORTED TO EUROPE.
• Next comes the volume that will definitely be increased from 38 to 60 Bln. cubic meters so the final cum will also increase up to USD 650-700 Bln.
• Most important is the second contract the sides started to work over. It is concerned the western China gasification while the current contract it concerned eastern regions. Now that the principles are settled the new contract for another 60 bln cubic meters won’t take another 9 years. And it may kill Europe because the pipe will be supplied from the same resource base.

Now lets look at this deal 400 billion over 30 years or 360 months which equals 1.1 billion dollars a month.
Russia just recently said Ukraine would have to start paying for their gas upfront since they were 2 months in the arrears to a tune of 2.6 billion euros.
So this deal did not even replace Ukraine little on the rest of EU.
