A society is judged by the way it treats it's most vulnerable and yes, that includes animals.
A sign of a civilized and compassionate society is the way we look after our animals and I am glad to see that there are some in Serbia who are willing to rescue these helpless animals.
So much evidence of how animals risk their own lives to save us so why woudln't we appreciate that and do the same when we can.

People who don't help animals have no respect for the precious gift of life. People who don't respect life are a danger to human life as well. They might help in a situation of disaster but probably only to show off their huge ego, which they think is a good thing. However it is the ego in humans which is the cause of all disasters.
