No, no, no, Ian is right i mean after all he is and expert and native of the Balkans after all! I mean his sources are probably from a Western media outlet which we all know tells the truth, i mean what he says and the West says is pure truth!!!
Like i keep saying there is a pipeline property of Mr Putin and Mother Russia, which they USA dont want at it gives Moscow influence in Europe probablly more then Washington! So what will Washington do USA its KLA lap dogs and attack the pipeline... And when that happens remember what Spetnaz has done in Ukraine, Georgia and Chechnya... And remember how much the West helped these countries out when Russians turned up!

Pathetic! You've basically said it's a lie because it doesn't fit with your political position. Is that the best you can come up with?
(Ian, UK, 8 May 2014 10:33)

Pathetic? What for? I merely suggested that you don’t accept, without reservation, the contents of PR paraphernalia. The relevant authorities have form for misinformation to suit a cause, Kosovo included.

‘....doesn't fit with your political position.’ Hmm, care to elaborate?

30 Ashkali, 49 Bosniaks, 5 Croats, 20 Egyptians, 2 Gorans, 3 Romani, 16 Serbs and 54 Turks, these figures seem so familiar and would not be surprised in the least to discover that they are recycled from earlier stats (no connection to KPC/KFS)
Ian, all sides of the ethnic divide throughout former Jugoslavia are quite brazen when it comes to manipulating documents and stats to suit, even official documentation. Don't place to much trust in what you source.

And yes, I do have data. As of April 2013, 30 Ashkali, 49 Bosniaks, 5 Croats, 20 Egyptians, 2 Gorans, 3 Romani, 16 Serbs and 54 Turks are serving in the Kosovo Security Force which is currently 2,500 strong. 91.8% of the KSF are Albanian, which is reflective of Albanians accounting for 92% of Kosovo's population.

Are you really that naive that you think that serbs will join an army made up of ex-kla terrorists? By the way if the albanians want to normalize the relationship with Serbia they should respect what has been agreed upon and that is amongst other things no armed forces.
(Daniel, 6 May 2014 15:46)
Number 1, I challenge you to find anywhere in the Brussels agreement that mentions an army. As usual Serbs tend to put things into agreements and resolutions etc when it is needed to validate their claims.
Number 2, It has been 15 years since the KLA was disbanded, making the youngest members in their mid thirties, and most in their 40s and 50s and 60s. With the exception of senior officers too old for military.
But you will have a whole younger generation who had their fathers butchered by Serbs during the 90's to contend with but these are not KLA terrorists as you claim but more victims of Serbian aggression.

He added that a law that would transform the Kosovo Security Forces into an army, which will today be discussed in the assembly in Priština, was "a discriminatory law that imposes the will of the Albanian side on the Serbs."

-- Let's digg a little further into this. This guy believes that Kosova is Serbia. Let's go along with his logic a little. Well since Kosova is Serbia and the Serbian army is made exclusively of Serbs then three things follow:

1. The Serbs in Kosova do not need another army because they already have the Serb army and they are part of Serbia.

2. Since the Serbian army is made exclusively of Serbs, then Serbia has been discriminating and imposing a discriminatory law that has imposed the will of Serbia on the Albanians for at least the last 20 years.

3. Since the Albanians are being discriminated then they need an army of their own.

If he is OK with the Serbian army then he has no valid argument against the Kosova army. That is if you are OK with Serbia imposing its will on Albanians, then you really can't protest if Kosova imposes its will on Serbs. You get rid of your army and we won't form one. Seems like a pretty fair deal.

Now let's stop on the second point for a little. This dimwit unknowingly stumbled upon the crux of the problem, albeit through a Freudian slip. That is, Serbia has been imposing its will on Albanians for the last 100 years. That is why Kosova went its separate way.

I am in total agreement. It's all about equality!!! In this case and in response to this absurd notion; Albanian Illyrians should form their own armies in Southern Serbian, the city of NIS which was once partly if not mostly populated by Albanians in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries as the majority population. This gentlemen must be thinking that he is talking to a bunch of idiots. Why does Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, B&H and Montengero and the rest of the countries need an army. The same applies to Kosovo. Whether Serbs want to accept or not Kosovo has declared independence and as a sovereign nation it has the right to create its own army.

Serbia has been blessed when it comes to dealing with Kosovo because we have a criminal leader such as Hashim Thaqi leading Prishtina otherwise if we had a true statesman intent on establishing a successful state I can assure you all that the Kosovo flag would have been flying proudly all over Kosovo. But when you have a criminal leader intent on saving himself and ready to sacrifice its entire people for his close benefit then people like Drecun can open their mouth and demand that everyone create an army.

Get ready gentlemen because Thaqis days are numbered and Prishtina is about to get a change in its political class. Hopefully honorable people will come in and will make positive impact on people lives. Whoever comes in it has to integrate people of Kosovo to operate as one unit. Perhaps they must go back and study Titos strategy and figure out his winning recipe and applied it throughout Kosovo. And for any nation in the world to be successful everyone has to prosper. Let this new generation live in peace and may it prosper as we have all witnessed the evil side of nationalism.

Ian, UK

Really? The Kosovo does not have conscription so do you have any data on the amount of non-albanians who serve in it? Also, the flag of the KSF is a red ensign with a black eagle - that seems familiar rather like the flag of a certain country?

"why does he seem to think that the Romani would want to create their own army? LOL That is one of the funniest things I've ever read!"

Maybe being burned out their settlements and driven into led contaminated camps might have something to do with? Though it is true that them being able to form an army is be a silly idea.

Serbs could also form their own army?

Sure they can, but would Serbia really want this scenario to play out? I mean Really, think about this for a minute & take into consideration, that if the minority Serbs of northern Kosova with Serbia's support were to make such a naive move the fallout that it would create thru out the Balkans? I have a pretty good idea of what the fallout would be, firstly you would have the Albanians of Presevo wanting to form their own army, then you would have the Albanians of Montenegro, Greece wanting their own armies, then you would have the Roma's thru out each Balkan country wanting their own armies?
My suggestion, if the minority Serbs of Kosova don't want to be participants of the republic of Kosova's armed forces, they should have the option of going to Serbia and participating in their armed forces, as Serbs already have a national armed force in Serbia!!! Serbs, after all the turmoil & chaos they created in the Balkans during the 1990s, now need to start thinking of becoming active participants in promoting a peaceful Serbia to the rest of the civilized world, and not one that still continues to promote policies of division & instability!!!

Serbs, after all the turmoil & chaos they created in the Balkans during the 1990s, now need to start thinking of becoming active participants in promoting a peaceful Serbia to the rest of the civilized world, and not one that still continues to promote policies of division & instability!!!

why not,Remember kosovo in a "unique" situation, so no armies for minorities in other territories. I mean the U.S. and EU are really making a mess of this part of Europe.

SERBIA doesnt like being surrounded by hostiles.. HOSTILES THEY CREATED. You see serbs enjoy killing an slaughtering civillians. They arnt use to being in a fight the profetional millitary . So when the bosniaks and croats . Finally got better equipment. In 1994 and so on the tides changed from 80% occcupied . To 45% and it would have gone down to 0% had the bosniak trairtor not gona agasint his people and signed the dayton accord. Woch the serbs were eager to sign. Please remeber there was 60 000 profetional bosniak and croatian soilders outside of banjaluka just waiting for orders to destroy.. Even thoug bosniaks suffered alot of loses. The bosniaks in bosnia now have the best equiped army in the balkans. Thanx to saudi and amercian aid. They have the best tanks artilery . Transporta weaponary ect. And logistics. Unfortantly there airforce is still being formed . David hagel from the US security council has said by june this year bosnia will be getting it own airforce of roughly 30 F-16s from turkey. Because turkey is selling out and developing its own aircraft . Wich meens bosnia wich will soon be a nato member once it signs its 34 property agreements. Will have the best airforce in the balkan region . To counter the 3 mig 29s from serbia. Bosniaks and albanians croats and all the others should on a daily basis punish serbs. SERBS BELIVE THAT WERE EVER THERE IS A SERB MI ORTY THEY DESERVE THERE OWN COUNTRY . Next they will ask for referendum in ameroca or australia

Thank you.

16 traitors too many (If we believe Ceku) but still only 11. The Britisches Freikorps had 27.

"Actually the Kosovo Security Force's Flag is a one headed (not two headed) eagle and is rather similar to some American Style Military Insignia. The flag also includes the six golden stars representing the six major ethnicities of Kosovo."

The US used an eagle the the eagle is a national symbol. Why use dark red and close up of a black eagle that represent Albania and not (supposedly) Kosovo? Why not use the official color dark blue and no eagle? Very strange.

If Vojvodina gets a Hungarian/Croatian army, Sandzak a Bornian army and Presovo an Albanian Army, etc. why not.
(John, 6 May 2014 16:45)

They already have an army, its called Vojska Srbije. You do know that 75% of the population in Vojvodina are Serbs and that more than 60% of the population in the Presevo valley also are serbs right?

And yes, I do have data. As of April 2013, 30 Ashkali, 49 Bosniaks, 5 Croats, 20 Egyptians, 2 Gorans, 3 Romani, 16 Serbs and 54 Turks are serving in the Kosovo Security Force which is currently 2,500 strong. 91.8% of the KSF are Albanian, which is reflective of Albanians accounting for 92% of Kosovo's population.

For those that live currently in NIS and have "vic"-tazied their surnames; they know exactly what I'm referring to....

Pathetic! You've basically said it's a lie because it doesn't fit with your political position. Is that the best you can come up with?

Pathetic? What for? I merely suggested that you don’t accept, without reservation, the contents of PR paraphernalia. The relevant authorities have form for misinformation to suit a cause, Kosovo included.

‘....doesn't fit with your political position.’ Hmm, care to elaborate?
