MUP unit in Kosovo as part of "planned activity"

The Ministry of Interior has said that members of the Serbian Army, and MUP's Gendarmerie on Tuesday conducted a joint reconnaissance activity with KFOR.

Yes, probably that's the reason why. But somehow positive to see that KFOR is now finally supporting this part of UN1244.

IF this is a true report and I mean a big IF as I cannot find another source to verify it. Lets examine if what you say is true.
Were the MUP there to clear minefields------no
Were they there in a liason capacity-----no
Were they there as a presence at key border crossings-----no
Were they there as a presence at Patrimonial sites-----no

Then they were there in violation of UNSC 1244 as those are the ONLY reasons that Serb military (in agreed numbers) are allowed in Kosovo. So if they WERE there in conjunction with Kfor, then Kfor itself was in violation of their mandate and 1244.

If members of MUP are caught inside Kosova by Kosova Police they will be hog tied and put in jail along side Oliver Ivanovic.

Nothing special, just a routine check by the security forces of the Republic of Serbia in its southern Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija. I don't see why this is news.

If members of MUP are caught inside Kosova by Kosova Police they will be hog tied and put in jail along side Oliver Ivanovic. This will be done with KFOR's blessings. However, I'm sure Serbia knows what is good for her and won't dare enter Kosova, ever. Beside, Serbia is so desperate to join the EU and NATO than to dare risk losing everything.

Why wasn't Pristina notified, I'd imagine there would have been some sort of uproar, surely at least the local Albanians would have arranged some type of checkpoint to halt these elite Serbian units from roaming into Kosovo. Where were the Albanian police, Militia or Mafioso, you know, the same groups that restrict believers from visiting Serbian Holy sites on Holy days, maybe they don't want a bar of Serbian Gendarmes, maybe they are only capable of stopping unarmed Serbian civilians from attending mass and visiting monasteries. At least there was one act of bravery from the local Albanians, after being alarmed at the sight of the Serb soldiers the quickly "Alerted KFOR",, where were all the staunch Albanian Hero's, oh that's right, they must have been too busy beating they're chests on B92 from their homes in the UK and the US

Serbia reclaimation of KiM is the worst kept secret. These are baby steps, but down deep inside our citizens of albanian decent know this will happen.

Looks like NATO and the West are singing a different tune in Serbia now that Russia has been flexing its new muscles on the world stage!

The Priština-based Albanian language daily Lajm reported that the Gendarmerie entered the territory of Kosovo near the Karačevo village and that locals "alerted KFOR."

Strange enough that those operations seem to stay secret and locals are not informed before?
