U.S. officials "unwilling to meet with Tymoshenko"

It is perfectly reasonable for US Congressmen to meet or refuse to meet whoever they choose. It is less acceptable for them to be telling people whether to run for political office or not, assuming that this claim is true. I would prefer that she ran and that the democratic process denies her the office of President, not a few interfering Americans.

Clearly the Ukrainian neo-Nazis need a smiley-face figurehead like the Albanians had in Mother Theresa. Is Tymoshenko Catholic? If she is, she still must be too crazy even for our current regime, else they'd be flinging money and military "training" at her feet.

I'm guessing from the look on the face of the old lady behind Yulia on the platform that the former Prime Minister has just broken wind.

I think the dear lady should save whatever dignity she may have and just retire from the political scene for good. I strongly doubt she will have any real support in the elections and if certain US politicians are telling her not even to run in the elections, I think this is a good time to exit. Her warlike rhetoric towards Russia is certainly not in Ukraine's interests and her thinking that Ukraine needs a military facelift, when the country is totally bankrupt and poor as an African state, would only certainly cause the country to collapse.

She has robbed the country enough with her Gazprom deals, so she can probably live comfortably until the end of her days and pray that the same justice done to Yanukovich doesn't come to her as well.
