Look at Los Vegas, the “canary in the coal mine” of America. If it is going bad then the rest are even worse.

Very funny, LAS Vegas as we call it, is a Disney Land for adults nothing more nothing less. It has no industry, no natural resources, not even a mecca of intelligence to sustain it. It relies on the excess of income to survive. One of the first things to cut back when people are trying to economize. Even in the super rich countries of Serbia and Malaysia when money is a little tight people for go the vacation or the luxury purchases, not many in Belgrade are buying yachts these days.
But on the serious side. Vegas relies on discretionary spending, it has no other source of income.
Once again you have proven your wisdom is only an illusion in your own mind.

Yes Detroit did declare itself bankrupt despite Washington’s efforts to stop it doing so. What is now evident that there are many other cities in the US that are in the same position, but the federal government will never allow them to do such a thing because it could tip over a very fragile economy. Despite being told every week about things turning around and jobs numbers increasing, that is not true. You need job growth to be 350 000 to 400 000 per month for the next decade for the situation to turn around.

Let me just say this, if Rhode Island, where you have the majority being middle class or rich, is bankrupt then the rest are in trouble. Some parts of the rural regions have dispensed with its local police force because they cant afford them while others have merged where you have only a handful of officers to look after a huge area and some of these don’t have police stations open at night or weekends. Officers stay at home on call.

Look at Los Vegas, the “canary in the coal mine” of America. If it is going bad then the rest are even worse.

The "story" the ICJ will tell is very different from what you think it is. Hint: it doesn't legalize Kosovo's statehood.
(Tunnel, 16 April 2014 16:58)

Indeed, because the ICJ is not a country and therefore it cannot legalize the statehood of another country. It's like making the discovery that the ICJ has not opened an embassy in Kosovo :)

Each country decides for itself which country's statehood to legalize and 106 of them have decided to legalize Kosovo's statehood.

Who do you think pays for RTKTV? Albanians? Get your hand off it mate. The EU pays for everything – police, judiciary, administration, troops – everything.
(sj, 16 April 2014 03:28)

I'm so sorry to have to disagree here, but I have to follow what the CE of B92 forums sj has already determined based on his/her brilliant analysis; i.e. the EU has collapsed and has run out of cash and therefore it cannot be paying for all the above.

@SJ:

You may feel that I'm comparing "apples to oranges" but after reading your comments and whether Kosovo can sustain itself on its own (economically speaking) or requires a EU handout or whatever you call it but for what it's worth Pristina itself doesn't appear to have the exact same problems as the U.S. city of Detroit does.

I wish I could go into greater details but from I gather Detroit unlike Pristina is a bankrupt city,Detroit is said to be full of a tremendous amount of abandoned homes including some abandoned factories, half of the streetlights are said to be non-functioning, the maximum time for first responders (at least police) to respond to emergency crisis is 40 -50 minutes (something like that) and even Detroit Police warn the public to "Enter Detroit At Your Own Risk" (As far as I'm concerned no such warning for visitors to Pristina.)

Finally and even though Pristina's population base is probably below Detroit's population base and even though we can admit that Kosovo is not a wealthy nation the point is that whoever could imagine that of all places a major American city (Detroit) has been forced to declare bankruptcy.

Heaven forbid the international community that tells Pristina what to do ever allows them to possess that type of power :)

Sounds like the blind sheep are talking, just like your leaders like to say when they are allowed to visit they "informed Eulex" of their itinerary, but when they cannot go and they know that Eulex will refute if they say that Eulex stopped them, they say that the Pristina did and start adding that they have notified the international authorities(who have yet to do anything) and that it is in violation of the Brussels agreement, UNSC 1244, and any other document that they know no one in Serbia has actually read and do not know the truth.

BOPA Momcilo Krasnic is a Serb he should have been allowed in .His predecessors were forced to change their family and Christian names by the Ottomans centuries ago. I thought you knew your history which should also tell you that Kosovo is part of Serbia. Ask the UN they'll tell you.
(N M, 15 April 2014 22:53)
After years of insistence by your government the UN is status neutral which means they will NOT say that Kosovo is part of Serbia, nor an independent state. However 106 of the 193 individual members WILL tell you that Kosovo is an independent state and not a part of Serbia.

Exactly. "Banned" is a bad word. The Serbian version of B92 has the article titled "Vulin again not permitted to enter Kosovo", where "again" is the operative word. One week he's there, the next week he's not. The only thing that happens is that his trip is postponed. "Banning" implies something permanent, and Heaven forbid the international community that tells Pristina what to do ever allows them to possess that type of power :)
