"This lady is as dumb as they come. Good luck Serbia with your Chief negotiator for EU accession."

Well, what's wrong with her opinion? Of course it's not possible that the whole Balkans is entering EU as a package. What else is left? Bosnia? Albania? Kosovo*? These are light years away from being functioning states, with no significant progress towards basic standards, not to mention EU standards. If Serbia and Montenegro will enter EU in 2020, the date for the others would be more like 2030 or later. And who knows what will happen until then?

I am from Albania and I agree. Each Balkan nation is individual and should be individually admitted. Serbia and Montenegro are the closets in terms of similar policies, government and progress since they were together until 2006 so it makes sense for a possible package for them two. The rest, including my country Albania have their own workload. It's no secret all Balkan countries are behind in specific sectors required for EU entry but I mean Albania's political turmoil surpasses that of any European country - our opposition and government can't agree on the easiest thing to agree EU REFORM!!! So we are not ready to start talks until they grow up. It's not fair for true progressing countries to advance at the same time as those who are lacking changes in the present. Look at Bosnia, who the hell would agree for BiH to join EU together with the rest of Western Balkans and possibly even Turkey?? They're totally dysfunctional. So the Serbian representative is right.
