Hugh and Dragan, Russia and USA are equally evil hypocrites! Dragan i see u don't have much logic and you are blinded by your Russophilia. Besides, RS won't leave Bosnia and join Serbia. It's not possible and we don't want it to happen, enough conflicts, time to build not destroy. You know it won't happen. One more thing, we can't survive without our european neighbors, Russia is miles and miles away. I don't see how they helped us as "brothers". The only thing they did is not recognize kosovo just to oppose the west. Oh they also lent us a transportation loan with which we had to buy their crappy trains. That's your "majka rusija". Little lovely Slovenia invested more in Serbia than the world's biggest country of Russia. What do you make of that?
Ps: i am not "brainwashed by western media" ok? I'm not a crazy brainless football hooligan either.
Pragmatism is the way forward.

Quick pop quiz: Territorial integrity of a country should be respected? Yes or No
(hugh, 28 March 2014 18:27)

Yes, but since the US has no respect for the UN Charter and international law, and violate it whenever they want, then nobody should have to abide by it, and we have the law of the jungle. This is precisely what Russia's position has been, they have warned the west numerous times that recognition of a unilateral declaration of independence will open a pandora's box, and by golly, it has!! I look forward to the referendum in Repbulika Srpska.
Funny how you twist the facts. Russia was actually giving Ukraine a huge discount on natural gas because it was a brotherly nation, now they are going to pay the market price since they decided to throw out an elected government and install neo-nazis in cabinet positions. Do you agree with Svoboda and the Right Sector parties Hugh? Do you agree with Tymoshenko's comments on how to treat the Russian minority.

Do you think the Russians in east Ukraine are safe?? Get your head out of the sand and use your brain.

EU foreign policy is by consensus and but is certainly led by the larger members. 5 members have not recognised Kosovo. Ireland has a guarantee on neutrality. UK voted against Syrian intervention.

Do you think this dissent would be allowed in a union with your brother and ally. Ukraine was taught a lesson in what happens when you try to let go of Russia's embrace

You want Serbia to demand from the EU that they rescind recognition of Kosovo, just to be consistent with their Crimea policy becasue they are hypocrites, but Russia need not recognise Kosovo to fix its own hypocritial stance?

You think George Soros is the only one meddling in sovereign states? I see Russia will raise the price of gas to Ukraine? Is this because the cost of gas to Russia has suddenly increased, no, its because of politics, ie punishment for not falling in line with Russian interests or as you like to call it, meddling

It is a very short artical, I sugeest you read it before posting a comment

"The EU member states create the foreign and security policy by consensus, making decisions that are not binding"
"Brussels may call on the member states to accept a joint position on a foreign policy issue, but cannot impose it"
- two quotes from this extremely short article which say Dictator to you?

"Russia is a brother and an ally. They should also demand from the EU that they rescind recognition of Kosovo, just to be consistent with their Crimea policy :). Hypocrites with no shame is who they are. On another note, to our Russian friends" - a quote from yourself where you say that when the EU
disregards international law it is a hypocrite, but when Russia does it it is a Brother and Ally ?

I have a feeling that if Obama walked into you house and punched your mother, you would want him hung without trial. If Putin did the same you would want you mother hung for damaging Putins fist

At the end of your coments you should have a little note "* I hate the EU and love Russia and won't let any facts get in the way of my opinion"

Hugh, are you that naive that you believe EU foreign policy is 'by consensus'?? Please, those are stories for little children, I suppose you believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy too.
It is basically German foreign policy, I repeat, German foreign policy. Why do you think they are so supportive of Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo - they love all their old nazi allies. They have a strong dislike for Russians and Serbs, since we helped destroy their empire on more than one occasion :). Like I said before, things don't change, history just keeps repeating itself. The EU strongly supports the illegal putsch government in Kiev, where 8 cabinet seats were given to neo-nazis. Tymoshenko is on tape saying 8 million Russians should be killed by nuclear arms - and not a peep from the German run EU. The only conclusion is that they agree with her, she is working for them after all.
You should end your comments by saying 'I am brainwashed by the western media and the neocon think tanks, I love George Soros and support his meddling in sovereign states, and the installation of compliant puppet governments. I believe that freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength, and war is peace. Baaa baaaa baaaa. '.

Cheers!!

Who do these EU dictators think they are? I certainly hope Nikolic and Vucic tell these Fourth Reich unelected bureaucrats to shove it, Russia is a brother and an ally. They should also demand from the EU that they rescind recognition of Kosovo, just to be consistent with their Crimea policy :). Hypocrites with no shame is who they are. On another note, to our Russian friends, the Red Star fans have shown Serbian public opinion :).

COORDIANTE - bring the different elements of (a complex activity or organization) into a relationship that will ensure efficiency or harmony.

"The EU member states create the foreign and security policy by consensus, making decisions that are not binding"
"Brussels may call on the member states to accept a joint position on a foreign policy issue, but cannot impose it"
This means to work together. This does not mean Serbia must follow all of EUs decisions, it means that the decisions are COORDIANTED. Serbia will likely follow EUs lead, but Serbia will make some decisions that are not in line with the EU (eg Crimea/Russia), and the EU will take Serbia's postion into account

You are correct that Serbia did not elect Catherine Ashton, however she is not your foreign minister, she is the foreign misinster of the EU, who you are COORDINATING with, with a view to joining the EU.
Even after Serbia joins the EU , this will still be the case (eg Some EU countries have recognised Kosovo, some have not)

I do agree with you on one thing, I dont believe that Catherine Ashton has ever been elected by the people of any country, however this is not true of the "EU Government"

So what is the point of even having a foreign minister at all? It's just a waste of tax-payers money if Serbia will coordinate every step with a foreign institution. If this is the case, then Catherine Ashton is in charge of Serbia's foreign policy, no? This despite the fact that the Serbia did not elect her, but that's okay because she is the world's highest paid female employee in any government and guess what? She wasn't elected for her EU position either. In fact, no one in the EU government was elected.

The EU is the new USSR.
