Serbia advised to embark on Thatcher-style reforms

Serbia's new government will have "a historic opportunity to reform the public sector, most notably public enterprises," says economist Mihajlo Rabrenović.

"That country can be our great strategic partner for access to third markets, especially in the Commonwealth which has 53 states and two billion people, which is almost one third of the planet," said Rabrenović."

Rabrenovic is obviously out of his mind. Serbia should not follow the failed practices of countries close to collapse. Rather it should follow the practices of Russia and introduce slavery in its economic system:
1) open its borders to poor immigrants from other countries
2) exploit their work until the job is done
3) when they ask for their money, throw them out

We saw the success of this system for Russian entrepeneurs who used Serbian slaves (among others) during the Olympic Games. A return to Slavery and the Serfdom System is the way to go for Serbia.

Margareth Thather did put the "great" back into Great Britain but it came at a huge cost.
Many people lost their livelyhood as mines and ineffective state enterprises closed down. She did not provide alternative employment for those that lost their jobs and was ruthless in her pursuit of modernisation.
Her efforts took about ten years to bear fruit and have saved Britain from financial collapse. She approached her objectives with long term vision, something that has been lacking from Serbian politics for decades.
If Thatherite measures were to be introduced in Serbia then prepare for many strikes, civil unrest and an initial stagnation of output and investment.
Modernisation often requires the sacrifice of taking 2 steps back before being able to take 1 step forward.

Has he completely taken leave of his senses? is he devoid of all Historical knowledge? Or perhaps he must be in the pay of right wing privatizing think tanks. Britain is in the grip of economic crises outside of London and the South East of the country. Social dislocation, mass unemployment, violence, youth alienation, privatization of everything including health and education and the list goes on. Shysters like this fella are a threat to ordinary Serbian people.

Lets look at the situation from an objective and realistic point of view. Is Serbia's public sector bloated? Yes. Is Serbia riddled with bureaucracy and red tape? Yes. Are the majority of Serbia's state-owned companies unprofitable and inefficient? Yes. Then logic dictates that cuts and privatizations are the only solution to these problems.

Thatcher was a fascist, she did more damage to British Industry than Hitlers Luftwaffe, anyone who thinks Thatcherism is a good idea for the people need their heads tested.
