That's all he said. Putin does not mean to say that the situation in Crimea has anything to do with Kosovo. The historical arguments for rejoining Crimea to Russia are not as strong as the Serbian arguments for keeping Kosovo, but they are strong. It is history that is speaking to us here in what has happened in Crimea and justice in history. The UDI of Albanians in Kosovo is a huge injustice and an affront to history.

Paul Serbia has merit of keeping Vojvodina as much as Albanians have to keep Kosovo. I say moment Serbia Returns Vojvodina to Hungary as a spoil for WW1 the next day Albanians should return it Kosovo to Serbia.
Serbia Won a war prize Vojvodina, Serbia lost a war Price loss of Kosovo.

Justice in history? Some Albanians (those who want a greater Albania) claims the same, that Albania was badly treated when the state was created after WW1, i.e. not all regions with Albanian majority were joined to the Albanian kingdom. So, everything is relative.
About 'Russian history on crimea': You refer to Crimea was given to Ukraine in the Soviet Union? Why not refer to the times before when population on Crimea had a different ethnic structure which were destroyed by deportation and ethnic cleansing under Stalin?

And about the 'peaceful overtake' of Crimea? This is a merit of Russia that sent tanks and Soldiers without insignia occuping the country? Or of Ukraine not able and willing to defend it? Imagine a powerful Albanian army (that doesn't exist, I know) invaded Kosovo (maybe without the north) after Milosevic removed the autonomy status, claiming that they have to protect their people, occupied the streets with tanks and soldiers patrolling the street, surrounding the Serbian military bases and capturing the soldiers, then let the population there decide about joining Albania, and annexing the territory two days after the referendum. Would have been a very peaceful scenario, isn't it?

The fact that Dodik is on Russia's side is because he is as corrupt as Putin and both of them have done nothing to help their respective countries move forward. As thick as thieves, as they say.
Serbia has taken a more diplomatic stance on the issue as well as a more sensible.
It is a bit like Tito's policy of 'don't rock the boat', keep all sides happy.
Of course Serbia also owes Russia big time when 100 years ago, at the start of the 1st world war, Russia defended Serbia from an Austrian invasion and, more importantly, Serbia needs Russia's investments.

Parrisson, you should quote Putin directly if you think he said that the Kosovo UDI was a "blueprint" for what has happened in Crimea. What he did say is that the ICJ's decision on the UDI in Kosovo set a legal precedent and that what has happened in Crimea is legal by ICJ's standards.

That's all he said. Putin does not mean to say that the situation in Crimea has anything to do with Kosovo. Crimea's declaration of independence was in line with international law, while Kosovo's was not (though even his master Putin referred to Kosovo's UDI as a blueprint for the referendum and the UDI of Crimea)?
(Comm. Parrisson, 26 March 2014 13:45)

YES ! It is against international law for an aggressor nation or group, to force another nation to capitulate any part of their territory or treaty through force . Thats why germany re-unified(they lost ww2) and were temporarily carved up under administrative zones (Russia was one of the first to recognize this in 89).
Crimea voted and left under peaceful terms(No pressure ,No burning of churches, No religious persecution, No selling of victims organs etc).

The pressure on Serbia to recognize kosovo, is because elements within the echo chamber know this to be true .

"I do not intend to deal with the topic of Crimea, because it does not concern me. But I'm also not ready to support approving Bosnia-Herzegovina joining in the introduction of sanctions against Russia," said Dodik...."

Bravo, Dodik is getting smarter! Now the topic of Crimea 'doesn't concern him'. Do I remember right when last week this clown came up with the intelligent statement that Crimea's declaration of independence was in line with international law, while Kosovo's was not (though even his master Putin referred to Kosovo's UDI as a blueprint for the referendum and the UDI of Crimea)?

Bravo Milorade!
Dmitry Rogozin has said that Serbia's stance on sanctions 'will not be forgotten'. I am sure that Republika Srpska's stance will not be forgotten either.
When Republika Srpska has a referendum and votes overwhelmingly to join Serbia, Russia will be the first country to recognize the results :).
Cheers!!!!
