FRY was given plenty of time (1 year) to respond peacefully to the UN but ignored so NATO intervened as a last resort to stop the bully; then Serbia has the cheek to playing the victim card in the Kosovo War & call it "NATO aggression". Military intervention wasn't NATO's first & preferred choice, nor was it a rushed decision. NATO gave peaceful diplomatic efforts more than enough time to succeed. Milosevic is to blame for the Kosovo War, his ultra-nationalism caused the conflict in the first place & NATO's intervention could have been avoided if FRY military & paramilitary forces had ceased hostilities towards the civilian population of Kosovo. It is unfortunate that there were civilian casualties in NATO's intervention; with hindsight, better precision could have ensured that NATO only hit military & political targets. However there would have been no bombings at all had Milosevic listened to the UNSC.

This is not going to happen soon, and there is no sign that any attempts are made in that direction. As the end of the day, a few thousand people were killed in Libya (according to the UN, only 60 of them were killed by NATO)... In Syria is more than 100,000 and counting, but on the positive side Assad is still there "standing up" to the evil West.

Of course it was the preferred choice. The rambouillet was offered because they knew that Serbia would never agree, what country would agree to be completely occupied by NATO soldiers. Serbia does not call it a NATO aggression, it was de facto an aggression since there was no UN resolution and that automatically makes it an aggression. FRY was given plenty of time (1 year) to respond peacefully to the UN but ignored so NATO intervened as a last resort to stop the bully; then Serbia has the cheek to playing the victim card in the Kosovo War & call it "NATO aggression". Military intervention wasn't NATO's first & preferred choice, nor was it a rushed decision. NATO gave peaceful diplomatic efforts more than enough time to succeed. Milosevic is to blame for the Kosovo War, his ultra-nationalism caused the conflict in the first place & NATO's intervention could have been avoided if FRY military & paramilitary forces had ceased hostilities towards the civilian population of Kosovo. It is unfortunate that there were civilian casualties in NATO's intervention; with hindsight, better precision could have ensured that NATO only hit military & political targets. However there would have been no bombings at all had Milosevic listened to the UNSC.

As the end of the day, a few thousand people were killed in Libya (according to the UN, only 60 of them were killed by NATO)... In Syria is more than 100,000 and counting, but on the positive side Assad is still there "standing up" to the evil West.

Of course it was the preferred choice. The rambouillet was offered because they knew that Serbia would never agree, what country would agree to be completely occupied by NATO soldiers. Serbia does not call it a NATO aggression, it was de facto an aggression since there was no UN resolution and that automatically makes it an aggression. All the recent comments by the serb political elite concerning Russia, Ukraine, their own place in history, the war, relationship with the West, etc. show that with these people in charge, Serbia can and really should not be allowed to become a member of the EU. Their value systems and basic political believes simply aren't the same, and before they can be part of the West, they have to go though a very tough, long and painful process of facing reality, and have to realize what horrible things were committed in the name of Serbia all ocer the balkans. This is not going to happen soon, and there is no sign that any attempts are made in that direction. There is an unwillingness to face it's own bloody history, and for Serbia to become a member in the EU, they would have to completly rewrite their own history and reeducate their society, finally tell people the truth, and not cover everything up with dedicules mystic BS. Serbia has a long, long way to go to become an open society which can be a part of a United Europe.

Ahh, yes sure. I couldn't wait till our autonomy was stripped. Because there's nothing better than not having a voice in the political and decision making process. Why would I ever want a say when a Serb could do it for me. I couldn't wait for the day when I could no longer study in my language. I could not wait for the day when my parents were fired; for being Albanian. I could not wait to be beaten by Serb police when returning from houses that were turned into clandestine schools and were teaching me how to read. I could not wait to have for the day when the Serb army burned our houses and have my baby cousin killed. I could not wait to walk hungry and barefoot in the middle of the winter through snowy mountains. Especially since none of the Serb neighbors had to the same. I am not saying that to put Kosovo down, it is a reality that it is an economic hell hole. You know who is not in an economic hell hole? The foreign businesses who went there to invest and TAKE all the money with them. They have made billions in Iraq and Afghanistan yet those countries are poor. If you don't believe this is happening and going on, then you need to stop wasting your time posting here because you are way out of touch with the real world.

There are tons of US businesses that are investing in all types of countries all over the world in Asia, yet those countries are horrendously poor economically. That's because the money and profits don't belong or stay there. From your posts, I gather that you are fairly in tune with all of this. You are fairly sharp on how this all works. What you try to do is use stupidity in an attempt to divert attention from facts you cannot refute.
