We get the part about a Ukrainian being a Ukrainian no matter what language they speak or whatever the color of their babuschka dolls.

The essential point however seems to be that, no matter what cultural concessions the 'appointed' Kyiv government is willing to grant to the restive east, they are going to have to jump through a number of 'democratic' hoops in order to express any opposition to the 'shift to the west'. And this IS all about a political shift to the west.

After Ukraine enters the EU - whatever 'internal' laws it needs to pass about language, citizenship or anything else will not require a vote.

If the west had not been out smarted here their plan was to accept Ukraine into the EU then upon the lease for the Russian naval base coming up for renewal Kiev would have asked the Russians to leave. NATO would have established a huge military base and from there the west could have funded freedom fighting causes in Chechnya and Dagestan and funded others in Russia so as to break Russia’s access to the Caspian Sea and its oil. At the same time the west would have “democratised” all the other former Soviet states right up to the Chinese border. This way they would have encircled Russia and commenced their democratisation of China or attempted to at least.
However, that is now history and Russia has Crimea. With that they control the Black Sea, the Danube and will now have direct access to the Russian Moldavia and that means Moscow s on the doorstep of Europe. It also means Moscow can now commence reshaping Europe to its liking – minus the US.
The west is only bleating for Ukraine because they have lost Crimea. For those that think Russia has lost Ukraine, Moscow does not care because after they are finished taking their lands back, the parts left will be worthless and it will be Brussels that will have to feed them.
The catholic in Ukraine are mentally exactly the same as the Croats – they are those ones you saw throwing out of Ukraine Parliament ethnic Russians and it’s they who passed a law banning the Russian.

Yes but why should I be a minority in your country when you can be a minority in mine? West started this in Yugoslavia and it has now spread outside Balkans.
