The EU & the IMF have been giving Serbia so many large loans, it is time to see if Serbia is a true EU partner or not, it's the perfect opportunity for Serbia! The current government of Serbia & the one currently being formed can issue separate statements, on which policy Serbia will take? And also, Vucic was a member of Serbia's current government, and he is the leader of the newly elected government, which will be in office within the month, there should be no problem with this at all? Let's see how pro-European Serbia really is???

First off Serbia is not pro-european whatsoever luckily and second what loans are you talking about? Need I remind you that EU and NATO completely destroyed the country with material costs for hundreds of billions of euros for destroyed infrastructure so dont give me that bs. Whatever they gave, they ruined for 100 times that amount.

I like watching this all play out. The EU constantly making unpopular demands in Serbia will eventually backfire, as it has in Ukraine.
(Zoran, 21 March 2014 21:23)

Since when is the defense of the territorial integrity of a recognized UN member an unpopular thing in Serbia, dear?!!!! I know that is unpopular in Russia, but not in Serbia. Are you a Russian or a Serb, dear?
----------

The next step in the Ukraine is to prevent the south and east from participating in elections that have been rigged by the extremists in Kiev.
(Zoran, 21 March 2014 21:23)

Perhaps the elections should be organized by Russian standards in order to be considered free and fair :)
----------

now that Crimea is finished business, time to focus on Russia controlling those parts of Ukraine. The country has to be split as the EU/US leave no other option. After that, focus will go to Moldova (Trans-Dniester) and Georgia (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), which could also be absorbed into Russia should Georgia be stupid enough to embrace NATO and the EU. This is the time when neutrality plays the smart game as the west begins to lose influence.
(Zoran, 21 March 2014 21:23)

Mate, if Russia wants to re-create the Soviet Union empire by force, it can certainly do it - nobody doubts that. But for what practical purpose?!

Where do you get that information from? Since when is the US going to become a domminant exporter of Oil? Are you thinking Canada's Oil Sands? Its the other way around, Major American and Canadian producers are in Russia developing major oil projects.

As for Albania, the major based Canadian Company is drawing out third date crude oil and making great profits hiring cheap labour in Albania. Do you want to guess who the chairman of that Company is? General Wesley Clark. Hope Albania is enjoying the US and Albanian KLA terrorists rip off Albanian citizens.

So Serbia should support unelected Right Wing quasi neo-Nazi parties that discriminate against minorities and submit complete and absolute fealty to a larger group of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels?

I suppose it's worked well for Croatia, Montenegro, and Kosovo*. Serbia always did have a problem of thinking too freely for its own Balkan good.

This discussion is becoming hilarious, our Chetnik co-participants are finding themselves in a very precarious position. The Serbs finally realizing that joining the EU means they will have to sanction their brother Russians. However, it may be a very cold winter next year without Russian fuel. Not to worry, though, boys, the U.S. will gladly sell you fuel at an even cheaper price than the Russians. Unless, of course, you have a moral objection to buying fuel from the country that bombed Serbia. After all, the Americans will be a major exporter in a few years. Nonetheless, I don't think the Serbs will mind being thought of as another U.S.lackey.

Willi, what you take for granted is that suddenly all politicians are going to start telling the truth. I don't think that is going to happen.

Serbia is a neutral country, the Crimea is not our concern. Our concern is our own soverignty and territorial integrity, job creation, and economic growth.
Mr. Kacan's expectations are going to be the undoing of the EU. People don't like to be told what to do and say. It is not democratic, it is not good for business. While the EU is overthowing democracies to chase out the russians, it should be chasing jobs and investment.

Is the German tax payer really wealthy enough to pay for all these adventures?

The heat is on, and now Serbia has to show where it wants to be in the future. No more games, like the interim government can't comment on that, because the old leaders will be in the new government as well. But, things are basically already decided aready, even it will take a while till they come to an agreement. Putin has been connecting the Kosovo issue to the Ukrain / Crimea issue and used Kosovo as an excuse to invade Ukrainian territory. He can't go back from his statements that Kosovo's independence is justified now, and so the overall solution will be something like, Russia accepting Kosovo, and the West accepting the occupation of the Crimea peninsula. Serbia will be forced to give up its demands on Kosovo, and the Ukraine, Moldavia and Belarus will be buffer states between the East and West.

Well, I think 95% of the Serbs would be happy to have those 'disastrous' living standards, salaries and economy Poles have.

And unlike Serbia where smart and educated people usually leave and never return, a lot of Poles returned to their home country (especially from the UK) after the economic situation improved.

Whatever this EU towel boy says, Serbia should do the opposite. We don't need any outsiders telling us what to do and how to behave, especially not a Serbophobe like Kacin. Shut it Kacin, your opinion is irrelevant and unwelcome in Serbia, as are you. Go back to your German masters and serve them some strudel like a good little boy.

We often talk about nations “joining” the EU when the word that should be used is “submitting” to the EU.

If Serbia ever becomes a member of the NATO/EU Evil Empire, then it will have to submit to the diktat of the unelected Masters in the European Commission, even if that means supporting sanctions against Russia or even against Republika Srpska.

Membership of the EU is voluntary return to a feudal system where there exists only Masters and Slaves. I think we all know into which category the Serbs will fall.

Some nations, like Croats and Slovenes, are happy being Slaves to their more “civilised” Masters in the West; but I don’t think this option will be so attractive to the average pig-headed, independent minded Serb. To my mind there are only three strong nations in eastern Europe, Serbians, Russians and Poles. The EU has been disastrous for Poland and may see that nation disappear once all its young people have left. I think ultimately the Serbian leadership, this one or the next, will reject the Western EU for membership of the Russian Eurasian Union. The Russians will not demand that Serbia impose sanctions against any country.

For Serbia, Russia is best.

Yugoslavia once had a great policy of neutrality and non-involvement. It would be best if they kept it this way and not blindly follow the policies set by either Washington, Brussels or Moscow.

I sort of envy Serbia that they are in the position to have a choice on such matters and not nod their head like a good lapdog at everything that Brussels/Washington spews forth, like Poland does.

Sounds fair, Serbia has eagerly wanted to be a EU member right? She then, should support the EU's position in full!
