If it goes by the same speed of Prokop (whose completion would only cost 1% of Belgrade on the rocks), construction should be finished around the year 2054. Srecan put. Btw elections are over now i hope every human being with a brain realizes that this project will never be built ever ?

Good- agree with you mostly. This could easily turn into a ghost town that normal belgraders cant afford. It could be a vanity project disaster. There has to be a large proportion of affordable housing for the locals, 30% or so, to give it life.

This project was to be built by the respected Dubai company, Emaar Properties. But now we are told it is being built by a new company called “Eagle Hills.” Why isn’t Emaar building it? Who are the shareholders of Eagle Hills? Do any Serbian politicians have an interest in Eagle Hills? I have been following this project for quite some time and have always thought it a good idea, but now I am not so sure. Instead of giving 100 hectares of central Belgrade to Eagle Hills, a company formed only a few weeks ago, the Serbian govt could clear the site of railways tracks and demolish old building (this it is already doing) It could then create parks and squares, and mark out plots of land which it could sell to dozens of developers. This way a more interesting urban landscape could be created and the people of Serbia and Belgrade could share in the profits. With Eagle Hills I suspect that only leading politicians and Serbian Oligarchs will benefit from this development.

I've been known to make a typo in my time but I'm pretty sure I wrote "housing Belgraders CAN'T afford". Mods? Anyway, you get the idea.

This project will add nothing to Belgrade other than housing Belgraders can afford. It'll be a useless, expensive bauble when Serbia has a million and one other priorities.
