"Serbia's lawsuit points to the continuity of genocide, as the Croatian Nazis (Ustasha) killed several hundred thousand Serbs, Jews and Roma as they ruled the WW2-era entity known as the Independent state of Croatia (NDH)."

What kind of sense does it make in the current case? Purely for propaganda reasons, this 'continuity of genocide'. If someone is accused of murder, does anyone mention the 'continuity' if his grandfather was a murderer, too?

I see the suffering of Serbs during operation storm as a 'continuity' or, better said, 'logical consequence' of the things that happened before, i.e. Serbs killing 100s and expelling 100,000s of Croats in their 'Serb Republic of Krajina' on Croatian soil.

What is amazing is how the Serbian population still believes the lies that the Milosevic/communist propaganda put in place. The reason why Serbs left Krajina was because the Serb government scared them into fleeing and organized this exodus. Any Serb that didn't commit war crimes can and should come back. Basing this on WW2 is beyond idiotic and only proves the lack of any real evidence on the side of the Serbs. The only way Serbia can evolve into a peace loving prosperous nation is to accept the facts, their guilt and responsibility for the events in 1990s. Apologize and pay restitution. If not they will forever linger in their self-pollinated hatred, that fuels their daily existence. PS: FYI-the anti-Nazi movement started in Croatia, and Tito was a Croat.

To say that Croats are Ustase during the 90s doesn't makes sense because who invaded who's territory? Before Operation storm, Serbs in krijina ethnically cleansed Croats from the territory.

Noone invaded anyones territory, Croatia was a part of Yugoslavia if you dont remember that. Serbs that lived in Croatia defended their families and homes from bloodthirsty fasists that wanted to finish off what their grandparents started during ww2. And by the way todays Croatia has very much in common with the ustase, if that wasnt the case 500 000 fasists wouldnt go to cavoglave every year to listen to ustase songs. And its not true that all ustasas were killed, the croats didnt even convict the leaders instead even today they hail Pavelic, Stepinac and Luburic as heroes.

What the Ustase did in WWII is horrible, but the Ustase soldiers were executed by Tito and are gone. The government that runs the Republic of Croatia is not the same as the NDH were as Serbia is the legal successor of Yugoslavia. What do the Ustase have to do with the wars in the 90's other than propaganda by the Serbian government and a to be used excuse to kill Croatian civilians. To say that Croats are Ustase during the 90s doesn't makes sense because who invaded who's territory? Before Operation storm, Serbs in krijina ethnically cleansed Croats from the territory. The population of Croats went from 45% to 7% and the Serb population went from 52% to 90%! When Croatia reclaimed the territory they found over 140 mass graves of Croats. More Croats were killed in Croatia than Serbs. Since you Serbs want this to be a pissing match of which side killed more civilians. A sick argument for you to make may I add. Croat forces NEVER committed any aggression in Serbia. Serbia had the least casualties within their boarders. That alone tells you who went after who. Not denying the atrocities Croat forces committed during Op Storm, but it was in response to the cleansing in 91'-92'.

There goes bam bam again using the over-used and very ineffective tactic of trying to equate Serb crimes during WWII with that of the Ustasha. Pathetic. Bam bam, try to get this through your simple little mind, Milan Nedic was implemented by the Naziz after they bombed Belgrade and suppressed Serbia's uprising. Thus they occupied Serbia. Croatia, on the other hand, welcomed Hitler's Nazis with a ticker-tape parade. The official gov't. of Croatia and the overwhelming majority of Croats embraced the Nazis. There was no resistance. They bought into the racist philosophy from day one. The Ustasha then went on to establish concentration camps, some exclusively for children, and kill hundreds of thousands of Serbs. Whatever crimes Nedic committed were miniscule in comparison to Pavelic's Ustasha butchers that you've admitted your family members belonged to.

And then to refer to Draza Mihailovich as a war criminal when the communist Croat Tito's kangaroo court convicted him without a fair trial is laughable. Time for you to take your sorry Ustasha-loving butt and go pollute a Croatian site with your racist beliefs.

@Serbs "It cant be propaganda when its well known fact that croats slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians during ww2".

Once again the un-educated Serbs can't focus on what they did to non Serbs in the 90's but avoid their own actions by bringing up myths from WW2. Let me tell you about WW2 as many of you on this site have no idea. Croatia like Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Albania were all at some point aligned with Nazi Germany but were also aligned with Tito's Partizans- not everyone shared the same idea. For the Serbs to point the finger at others while Milan Nedic and later convicted War Criminal Draza enjoyed Nazi support its suprises me that the Serb trolls on the site would even mention that they were some sort of angels. Comm Parrison's rather bizarre analogy which then contradicts itself is fatally flawed as it's not comparing like with like. The murder of Serbs by Pavelic's hordes in WW2 is beyond dispute and the 90's pogrom against the Serbs which incidently continues to this day, just more subtly can legitimately be seen as a continuity of racial hatred and overt racism in Croatia toward the Serb population. And yes if someone murders me and my grandad was murdered by someone else there is no continuity, but if my grandad was murdered by a political philosophy ie .Ustashi racism and I'm then killed by someone who follows that same philosophy then there is continuity as is the case in this trial. I'm not holding my breath for justice but maybe if the judges have heard what former Chancellor Schroeder has said then it might help convince them ( though they already know) that Serbia is innocent and Croatia is very much guilty.

I see the suffering of Serbs during operation storm as a 'continuity' or, better said, 'logical consequence' of the things that happened before, i.e. Serbs killing 100s and expelling 100,000s of Croats in their 'Serb Republic of Krajina' on C

roatian soil.

It cant be propaganda when its well known fact that croats slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians during ww2. And I see it as perfectly logical that they wanted to finish what their grandparents started. It completely makes sense since the serbian countersuit is based on the ww2 events, what doesnt make sense is how the croats can accuse serbs of genocide after killinge more than half a million serbs and expelling a quarter of a million during the last war, now THAT doesnt make any sense. Let me remind you that serbs made up more than 15% of the population and now its merely 3%, what is that if not genocide and ethnic cleansing? By the way they didnt live on croat soil but yugoslav soil.
