What a spectacular win for Putin and Russia! The third in a row, first Georgia, then Syria and now Ukraine.

The combined Russia/China alliance is a winner! Funny thing is (as this went largely unreported), both Russia and China humiliated the US when they stopped the bombing campaign by the US on Syria. The US had 5 destroyers ready to target Syria, however, Russia surrounded them with 11 war ships and a few from China. The US did fire two missles but they were shot down by Russian anti missile missiles. The US then withdrew with its tail between its legs. I loved reading the headline today in popular Serbian newspaper. It said "Putin: If it's allowed in KiM then it's allowed in Krim (Crimea)". Look at the ramifications. NATO occupies a small impoverished piece of Serbian territory but it loses Georgia and Ukraine as a result! Now that is a spectacular loss. No wonder they are outraged! Their propaganda machine running full time.

Furthermore, Putin is telling the world. Just try a western backed undemocractic "revolution" and risk your whole country fracturing. Lets see how many others will try it now. The Otpor days are finished and the time will come to reverse those coups.

Serbia was dealing with Albanian terrorists who were killing civilians and police but still ended up losing control simply because NATO wanted a base.

Look, Russia will protect its base also along with the Russian majority so Crimea is lost to Ukraine thanks to those western supported nationalists/extremists.

Well, according to China http://www.fmprc.gov.cn/eng/xwfw/s2510/t1133558.shtml, China "respects the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine". Those views don't appear to be that close to Russia's. It appears that Russia is imitating Serbia and starting to speak on behalf of other countries.

USA didn't get involved in Syria not because of Russia but because they don't trust those who are fighting against Assad .

Secondly, if Putin recognize Crimea he supposed to recognize Kosovo too.
Crime and Kosovo have no similarities because Ukrainian army is not killing, raping and ethnically cleansed Crimea.
If Russia gets Crimea it doesn't mean it will get the whole Ukraine, just as in Georgia case.
As for freedom is coming with Russia and China, beware what you are wishing.
Talk to Hungarians,Czech,polish and all eastern block and you have to thank Tito that didn't joint Warsaw treaty .

I totally agree with you here that what Russia is doing in Ukraine is against international law. And I also welcome the fact that after so many years, even you are now supporting Kosovo's cause.

So, NATO went to war spending billions of dollars to get a base in Kosovo, when it could get a base anywhere where it wanted in the Balkans (even assuming that it wanted)! It appears that some people here just accept as true everything they are told without any sort of logical thinking if it makes sense or not.
