Why has Serbia kept begging (and STILL begs) Croatia to withdraw the lawsuits?? I say if you're so confident they're going to lose, let them waste their time! It's embarrassing to hear your political leaders every year bring up tossing the lawsuits and the sound of crickets from Croatia!

Maybe it was not so smart to try to establish a 'Serbian Republic of Krajina' and kill or expel all the non-Serb population (some 100,000s of Croats who were living there). It fired back, in the end, and now some 100,000 Serbs were expelled. Same for Germany.

Maybe you're a historical revisionist and are lying through your teeth. All of what you said is complete BS. Serbs in Krajina were terrified at the rise of the Ustasha again, and rightly so. Tudjman's government had Ustashe cabinet ministers such as Gojko Susak, were planning for war and buying arms, and laying off Serbs from jobs en masse.A All this far before the fighting started. What did you want Serbs in Krajina (who suffered Jasenovac and a horrible genocide in WWII at the hands of these same people) to do? Sit back and wait for their homes to be burned down and have their throats slit? You expet them to live in harmony with these people?

The Germans hoodwinked the ignorant yanks to support croatia and they agreed because Serbs were too close to Russia. This just goes to show how evil the Washington neocons are, many of them are Jews, but they still supported Tudjman's new nazi reviving croatia. Sick people.

Most Serbs simply aren't aware that their people expelled non-Serbs from Republika Srpska Krajna, burning their houses so they won't return (this is what the Croatian case is about).
On the other hand, many Croats, especially after the aquittal of Gotovina, don't understand or downplay how vulnerable the Serbian community felt and why they evacuated themselves before operation storm.
It'll be good for everyone to air out all the dirty laundry.

No, Serbia filing lawsuit against Croatia for Operation storm is like Germany filing a lawsuit against allied forces, Russians and other WW2 allies who killed 100,000 Germans and expelled some dozen of millions from their homes - in regions that are nowadays Poland, Czech republic, and yes, Serbia, too. Croatia committed genocide not once, but twice in the 20'th century, and were rewarded for it, first by Tito and then by their German protectors. For croats to accuse Serbia of genocide is frankly like nazis filing a lawsuit against Jews for killing guards in Auschwitz. it is so surreal, it's hard to believe. But then again, look at the way the west and its media are behaving with Ukraine, legitimizing a coup d'etat run by neo-nazi groups, and at the same time talking about the UN charter and sovereign borders (Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Iraq, Lybia, Syria....). US foreign policy is based on having a stupid population that can not remember what happened yesterday. Looking at some posts here, they are not wrong in their assumption.

The Serbian team is a awkward bunch. They do not want to have an argument at the ICJ despite there being a genocide/ethnic cleansing committed against them twice, WII and Operation Storm. Instead they should demand and the strongest way possible to have the internally displaced peoples of Krajina be repatriated and compensated and have their minority status be respected according to EU laws.
