Don't be so sure, Vucic. The only chance of it happening is if the current leadership looses to a truly Democratic party. That is, assuming if such a party exists in Serbia.

why would the serbian people want to join? it would only be a profit for the politicians and bureaucarts NOT the serbian peopl. History has showen us theses back door deals do nothing but bleed our cournty. if we focus more of are efforts on the inner country and are the resources we can provide we dont need to join we can pervail regardless

In view of the fact that there is usually 18 months to 2 years between the end of membership talks and accession, Serbia would have to be finished talking quicker than any of the ten that joined in 2004. In view of regional problems and the unresolved issue of Kosovo this is highly unlikely. Get down to the nearest kladionica and get your wallet out if you think that Serbia will join in 2020!!

A community of European countries would certainly be still, and we should not be concerned and burdened to whether the EU will survive or not. The aim Serbia must primarily be focused on the implementation of reforms in the society, and strengthening the economy, primarily due to a better life for the citizens of Serbia and then in order to access the EU, perhaps even 2020.
