let us take the figure of 20000 sj. so 30*200000*100=60000000 the West is wasting, according to you, by paying every tom dick and harry to protest. of course, this doesn't happen in real life, but in the minds of conspiracy buffs, this is reality. tell me, do they pay them via bank or cash in hand? do they have to give them a receipt in the end?

No you’re using an Albanian calculator mate. Where the f*** do you get ½ million demonstrators????? You must be stupid if you think it’s that many people. You would be lucky if there were 20 000 at any one moment and how many are there in the Ukraine????.
Here is the offer on the table:
Russia: upon signing will give Ukraine 150 billion Euros in loans and some aid money plus cheap gas and oil.
The EU/US: upon signing the EU agreement will give Ukraine NOTHING, but more empty promises of a great life in freedom and democracy.
Now I’m not sure of how you think but the average Ukrainian is not stupid and why would they go out in hundreds of thousands against a great deal for them???
I actually replied to Ned Taylors’ post but it was not published. Go to a media training mate and see how they “feed thousands with a few fish”. I’ve seen a group of no more than 50 demonstrators being turned into a “couple of thousand”. It media smoke and mirrors.
Every dollar/Euro they spend has to come out of their budget – school consolidation, dropping of certin medical programs and so it goes on and on. It’s done by stealth mate just like price rises in the supermarket while they tell you inflation is only 2% and you have nto had a pay rise for a couple of years..
I need more than 1500 words to show exactly how it’s done.

"$30 per day is the going rate paid by the EU/US."

oh dear. apparently the West doesn't have cash, but it has enough to pay $30.00 per day per protester. so let us say 500000 people outside protesting for 100 days: 30*500000*100=1500000000. yeah great logic there sj. and you're a financial expert?

SJ: I know it isn't millions demonstrating and no news report that I have seen in the UK has made that claim or anything like it. My point was that if this mysterious figure of $30 a day was true everyone would want some of the action. I put your claim into Google and not a single hit came up. In view of the seriousness of what you are claiming I would have expected multiple hits...........I would be grateful for some evidence of what you are saying; a link to a reliable source would do.

The genuine demonstrators in the Federation are complaining about just that i.e money stolen by their leaders. What they need is good political leadership plus MONEY. Tanovic will not solve any problems unless there is cash. You can have dozens of honest politicians, but if there is no money to actually do something then it’s no better than with the old regime.
The ordinary person wants a “fair society” but not the west nor the Bosnian leadership. It’s not in their interests – the west (EU) wants a source of cheap labour and they will try and keep conditions the same in the long term to try to compete with China. While the B leadership wants to keep milking the cow
$30 per day is the going rate paid by the EU/US. Why would anyone in their right minds demonstrate in the middle of winter just because Ukraine has signed a deal with Russia where they will get the funds they need plus cheap gas and oil????? People are not stupid no matter how they feel about Moscow.
On the other side the EU/US is portraying the situation as “the people’ are against this deal and want to sign onto the EU agreement. So if they do sign with the EU it’s still nothing because the EU does not have the money. It’s easy to remove the Russian “threat” – give Ukraine 150 billion in cheap loans and there you have it. By the way it’s not millions demonstrating as the western media likes to portray it.

(ned taylor, 11 February 2014 12:59)

With reasonable arguments you won't convince people who prefer to believe in conspiracy theories. It's impossible. Everything is orchestrated by The West(TM), people are payed for protesting, and people don't act on their own, of course.

But in a way, I can understand those people: Probably they experienced how things were used to work in the former Soviet Union and other communist countries, with parades lined with 100.000s of people cheering their leaders. And these people didn't even had to be payed, the employees of the state owned companies and administration were obliged to go there, and they were rewarded with a holiday from work for those events. And you had it in YU, too, where Milosevic brought 'supporters' with buses everywhere to cheer his speeches.

SJ: "Why vote for Danis Tanovic, he doesn't have any money". This is the whole point, politicians are responsible for spending PUBLIC money not their own. The problem is that this bunch of politicians have stolen money from taxpayers through corrupt privatisations. If Bosnians just want money rather than a fairer society then I have no sympathy and they should invite George Soros, Bill Gates or Warren Buffett to run the country for them, or keep their fingers crossed that they win the lottery. Bosnia is a very poor country with a non-functioning economy and it will take decades to get anywhere near the European norm even without the continual theft of state assets by the nomenklaturi.

The Ukraine protests are organised by the EU/US. Its a fact that if you join the prostests you get $30 Euro per day with a midday meal and transport to and from the venue. Naturally, the thugs get better pay as they do a little more work. If you think its anything else then your dreaming.
The EU/US could have neutralised the Russians by lending Ukraine 150 billion Euro and no problems at all, but they dont have that money. Its cheaper to pay protesters as so far its only cost $30 million.
Why vote for Danis Tanovic? He does not have any money – that is the essence, money. Its cash that the Bosniaks want not hot air. I’m not saying that there is no corruption in RS, but nothing compared to the Federation. I’ve been to Sarajevo recently and largley it looks like a dump especially the main railway station where I had to look twice to makle sure I was’nt in Tangiers.

I repeat for the umpteenth time, there will be no unified BiH, no third canton and no independent RS. This is not because I make the law but because those who do (Russia, the EU and the US respectively) will simply not allow any of the above to happen. This was not a genuine protest at poor living conditions; yes there were people who naively believed this was a true protest against corrupt government in the Federation. One would have to be a simpleton to believe there is no corruption in RS, but nothing on the scale that was going on in the Federation.
In the early days the Federation was given a much larger slice of the Bosnia money supplied by the EU and the Federation squandered it. Meanwhile RS used its part very wisely where Banja Luka and other cities in RS look like modern European centres while Sarajevo looks like a crap hole from the Middle East.
This “protest was known to the Serbs last year as it was to be used a pretext to unifying Bosnia. The plan was to start trouble in Banja Luka then spread to Brcko, Prijedor and so on. But as I said the Serbs were prepared so in the end the only people that looked like fools was the ones who burnt government buildings in the Federation. Talk about shooting themselves in the foot!!!! They blew off both legs.
The High EU Rep sent out a request for NATO troops to be sent to RS just in case “the rioting got out of hand”, but Russia and China told him to just keep warming his seat.
This was organised by Germany in cooperation with the US – Another failed enterprise.
Ahhhhhhhhh another western f**** up.

As for the Ukraine, it sounds very much as if you are making it up. Where did this figure of $30 come from other than your imagination? In an impoverished country like the Ukraine, there would be millions of protesters in the city centre if this was the going rate per day.

SJ: Still waiting for a single hit on Google or your link to a reliable source to confirm the $30 a day story...............all I can see at the moment is endless waffle. I'll check for the link again tomorrow :-)

let us take the figure of 20000 sj. so 30*200000*100=60000000 the West is wasting, according to you, by paying every tom dick and harry to protest. of course, this doesn't happen in real life, but in the minds of conspiracy buffs, this is reality. tell me, do they pay them via bank or cash in hand? do they have to give them a receipt in the end?

The Ukraine protests are organised by the EU/US. Its a fact that if you join the prostests you get $30 Euro per day
