"DSS won't muddy its policies"

The DSS program and principles are more important than being in power, Vladeta Janković has told B92, explaining the party's decision to go to the polls alone.

I'm glad DSS decided to go alone again. The Dveri people remind me of those wacky fundamentalist Christians in the states. Religion and politcs, traditionally not a good mix. The Radicals care more about Russia than they do about Serbia. Again, not cool.

DSS doesn't want or need those kind of people in their ranks.

Comm parson, the state is losing that money and is running deficits and borrows against the economies future, and the EU tells the government to squeeze the people. This is not a sustainable arrangement. The government needs those revenues or a broader free trade agreement.

Well, this variety of self-pitying narcissism certainly is the hallmark of your typical DSS supporter

"The DSS is committed to the path of non-alignment because this is the way of political neutrality and the way that makes us open and free,"

- Many a true wise Serb understands Serbia's place in the world and sadly fail to uphold this ethos when elections occur. To those who would scold such wise words from DSS reflect the quote of Jankovic to a very familiar message many centuries ago;

"At first we were confused. The East thought that we were West, while the West considered us to be East. Some of us misunderstood our place in the clash of currents, so they cried that we belong to neither side, and others that we belong exlusively to one side or the other. But I tell you, Irenaeus, we are doomed by fate to be the East in the West and the West in the East, to acknowledge only the heavenly Jerusalem beyond us -- and here on earth, no one." St Sava in a letter to Irenaeus 13th century

"For example, the implementation of the SAA - here our our economy is losing hundreds of millions, and getting nothing."

No, the economy isn't losing anything. Maybe the Serbian state loses import taxes because of the free trade agreement. On the other hand, the EU is Serbia's main export partner, and, unlike to Russia, Serbia can export cars to Europe without import duties. China and Russia might be important trade partners, too, but unfortunately, trade with these countries is more or less only unidirectional or extremely unbalanced.
