President to attend opening ceremony in Sochi

The financial crisis in the EU and US has meant that their leaders cannot afford to attend the Sochi opening ceremony. I hope Presidents Asad and Yanukovich can make it to wave the flag for democracy and national sovereignty in the face of those who prefer invasion or coup d’état to get their way.

"By my visit to Sochi for the opening of the Winter Olympic Games I wish to pledge support to world peace, which is symbolized by the Olympic Games, and to the general fight against terrorism - now mostly waged by Russia - as a great evil of modern humanity", Nikolić was quoted as saying during his meeting today with Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin.

When I got to the bottom of his statement, I knew it will be the joke of the year 2014! Why does Serb media in general reports this kind of silly statements from its own President???

I propose a change to the rating system at the bottom of each comment.
