Ivanovic's former buddies probably just released some incriminating evidence about him, after he ran against the Belgrade-sponsored Srpska list in the last elections. Old-fashioned retaliation...

It's even more suspicious that this happens shortly after the assassination of moderate Kosovo Serb politician, Dimitrije Janicijevic. Radicals seems to be consolidating their power in Northern Kosovo...again.

As I said before: If war crimes investigations in Kosovo wouldn't be politically motivated and unbiased instead, about 30% of the current Kosovo government would have been arrested.

A very "Serb" opinion, got any proof, as no one else does, just Serbian gossip. Some have been tried in the same courts as Serbs. You may claim foul but again where is your PROOF?

"Every time there are war crimes accusations against Serbs they "are" politically motivated. I guess Albanians killed themselves to blame Serbs."

Look to Krstimir Pantic for clandestangly initiating the investigation of Oliver Ivanovic. Pantic refuses to acknowledge Kosovo as independent, yet thinks he can still be mayor of North Mitrovica. In the up coming re-run of the election Ivanovic will become mayor by default. Pantic is attempting to prevent Ivanovic from being mayor, thus the reason behind the accusation.

As you may have deduced, Pantic is rather dimwitted and probably couldn't think his way out of a paper bag, therefore, the explanation for the lame attempt to frame Ivanovic.

"Nothing happens by chance in Kosovo and Metohija, particularly when you have a volatile area where the slightest moves could have an impact on something," Selaković said when asked whether he sees a connection between the detention of Ivanović and the forthcoming re-run of local elections.
