Visnja, you make excellent points but we should not forget who are friends are in Russia and that the West abbandoned us to Communism, only to punish us for it. I think a balanced policy of brotherly relations with Russia and trust building partnerships with our European neighbors would be the most certian route to protect Serbia's future. We have more friends in European Business than we do in the European Government, Serbias diplomacy should extend dircetly to Business interests in order to lobby European Governments.

The front door is locked, we are forced to use the Service Entrance. It is humiliating, but when the job is done it will be worth it. In Russia, we can walk through the front door and are greated by our brothers. Such is the life of a small country

A free, independent and politically neutral country?

What? A political party that actually preaches rationality and common sense? DSS needs to trade mark this brand ASAP because lord knows no other party has done it.

Policy of the government of Serbia is close to political neutrality, because of the desire to be with all the great powers in friendly relations and develop economic cooperation. All countries pave its way to joining the EU, and would be foolish to expect that Serbia is an exception. Strategy to oppose Europe and the world, led Serbia to the situation that we have young people who, because of sanctions and isolation, were not able to travel and get a chance to learn about European culture, see how works the business in the most developed countries of Europe and were not able to understand why Germany and France, are the most developed European countries. Geographically belonging to Europe, but hammer head on the lap of Russia, would be adventure of the highest level, and return to isolation.

"Popović said that Serbia should give up on the EU pathway and declare political neutrality, since that would be the best way to preserve the exceptional political and economic relations it has with Russia, reads a statement by the DSS."

Exceptional economic relations with Russia? You mean Serbia selling out profitable oil industries (including Serbian domestic gas resources worth fo some billion $) to Gazprom, signing special contracts greanting gas prices which are higher than the European spot market prices? Or having a great 'free trade agreement' which allows Russia to export Gas while it is excluding Serbia's most important export product (i.e. cars made by Fiat Serbia) from the agreement? Thus resulting in imports being highest from Russia, while exports from Serbia being below the level of exports to Montenegro?

Inspired by Ukraine events those in Serbia who don't like where country is headed will now occupy downtown Belgrade, and attempt to remove elected President from power by force. They'll pelt police with stones and Molotov's...
They'll be joined by Katerina Ashtonov and other supporters from Russia who will demand immediate release of those arrested.
