Transit countries for Gazprom’s South Stream natural gas pipeline will not have to revise earlier intergovernmental agreements with Russia.

EU Bark vs. EU Bite. Nothing will happen either over the Commission's threat against Gasprom's prices, which are already the lowest in Europe. They can squeal as much as they like that gas prices in the US are much lower than Europe, but the reality is that a) there is a decades long link between oil and gas price on the world markets; b) Europeans are already free to buy gas from whomever they want - i.e. get LNG shipped in at exhorbitant cost from Qatar et al; c) Russia isn't in the EU or has a ratified agreement with the EU. It's just Commission politiking for the domestic market. Again.
