The objective for Serbia to become a full member of the EU 2020 is ambitious, but if the reforms and the task of building the economy approaches the maximum committed by all institutions in Serbia, then it is not so unrealistic

It's amusing that many of the issues that this gentleman highlighted are still serious problems in the two EU countries whose citizens have just started to have unfettered access to the EU job market after seven years as members. When will THEY be expected to depoliticised their judiciary and allow freedom of the press and why was this not insisted upon BEFORE they joined??

It's easy to say 2020 is close but think about it, when I remember personal moments in 2010 I feel they were a century ago and it's only been 3 years, that's why 6 years is a long and very sufficient time. Serbia will be a very different country from now, a much better place I hope :)

Great point Slava, you & the rest of your fellow Serbian population should focus on electing true democratic loving figures, the likes of Zoran. Djinjic! Not individuals that until yesterday, were calling for the extinction of all non-serbian ethnic groups which were adjacent or near Serbia! A nationalistic virus was spread upon Serbias population during the late 1980s, early 1990s, and for what? For greed, and the attempt to artificially create a greater Serbian state, with no rmercy or emorse to the many non-serbian victims, that it would take to achieve this evil nationalistic-Serbian ambition!! Yes Serbia can be a better place, but at the end of it all, this will depend on you, and Serbias true democratic populous, whatever figure that may be???
