First of all, this is an interior matter of Montenegro. Secondly, Albanians are doing the right thing. They are using their pull within the political system, to ask for their rights. What are they basically saying is that they will never vote for the opposition, but if their demands are ignored there is a political price to be paid.

Peggy,
You are either naive, ignorant or very malicious. We call ourselves Shqiptar, no Shiptar. The latter sounds similar to sheep in English, and is used with a derogatory meaning (as you probably know).

It's time for Albanians in MN to quit wasting their votes on Milo and either boycott elections or perhaps make some kind of deal with the Serb opposition in MN.

Did you ask the Serbs if it's OK with them?

Milo has you by the horns and will not let go. You have to vote for Milo. There is not likely to be any political comprimise between radical albanian nationalists and the Serbian opposition. How would that even remotely be in the Serbian Oppositions intersts? Why would they reward the Albanians for Montenegran Seperatism with the goal of further partition?!?!

You would have to be on a litre a day diet of Raki for that to make sense.

The radicalized albanians can vote for Milo or nobody, and that is why they are threatening boycott. Serbs are not going to help them in any manner but we love that this has happened and encourage you to boycott Milo all day long. We told you he was a criminal, we told you he turned on his own. Why did you believe him? He and his are exactly the Government you deserve.

I don't understand this facination with whining until you get what you want. seriously, it is one thing that albanian minority declared kosovo as separate from serbia, but in the case of montenegro, the albanian minority signed onto the separation from yugoslavia (as it was at the time) and got what they wanted then, whereas the serbian minority in both kosovo and montenegro were forced into this new condition. now the albanian minority are unhappy and want more? it does sound an awful lot like a take, take, take, me, me, me group of people that are now "protesting", and will cry that their regions aren't given government support after the fact, much like was done in southern serbia. vote, participate and take your chances, that is what democracy is my new democrates of europe. sometimes you get what you want, and sometimes you don't, but if you sit in your rooms and moan about this and that without excersising your voting rights, then you truly don't have a leg to stand on.
you can talk and discuss all of the conspiracy theories you wish, talk about made deals, and broken deals, but none of that matters. go and particiapte and stop whining. stop acting like insolent children who don't get their favorite christmas toy.

That's an ignorant comment. Theres no archaeological proof that slavs ever inhabited the area of Malesija in Montenegro and plenty to support the fact that Albanians have always lived there. Keeping in mind that a majority of the Albanians there are Roman Catholic Christians, the oldest church in that area dates back to the 14th century proving Albanians have been there for quite some time. Not to mention that there has been found the ruins of Illyrian buildings found in the area and ruins of an aquaduct built by them connecting to the River Cijevna. Albanians are just as white as Serbs, sometimes you cant tell the difference between a Serb and Albanian physically, and to say they are from Turkey is absolutely ignorant and only proves to other people, especially the ones your arguing against, that you have no concept of what your talking about. But if you continue to insist that Albanians go "back" to Turkey, we'll do so when the Montenegrins go back to wherever they migrated from in the 7th century. I understand everybody wants to stick up for themselves but when you say something so dumb as "Albanians should go back to Turkey" then you make yourself sound very stupid. Not one single academic scholar, historian, or sociologist has presented the argument that Albanians are middle eastern, which is absolutely ridiculous. A majority have concluded that Albanians descend from a mixture predominantly Illyrian DNA along with Thracian and Dacian.

I am from the tuzi area and I think the boycott should go forward. Albanians have been lied to by the montenegrin government and if it wasnt for the Albanian vote in 2006 the referndum on independence would have never succeeded. Albanians and Serbs should come together in Montenegro and work with each other in the opposition. Montenegrins are a minority in there own country amd make up 42%. Its absolutely ridiculous that tuzi is not a municipality and even more so that montenegrin is the official language and serbian only a minority language when a majority of the popularion delacres their language to be Serbian. Albanians and Serbs need to work together and can achieve success if they do. This is Montenegro not Kosovo.
