Yes, just like we have to give Kosovo more time to realize that they are nothing but a disputed territory, and not a recognized state like 193 others in the world.
(Comm. Parrison, 25 December 2013 11:51)

Of course, Kosovo is a disputed territory and a non recognized state for Serbia, the same way that Serbia is a disputed territory and a non recognized state for Kosovo.

As for the majority of the states in the world, Kosovo is just like any other state. Unfortunately, Serbia can't decide what other states recognize or don't recognize, even though Serbian officials love to speak for other states :)

"We all know, that currently it is difficult for Serbia to swallow the fact of Kosova's independence, we must give Serbia & her future leaders time to evolve into a truly democratic entity, too much damage was inflicted upon the Serbian psych by its former primitive & brutal leaders! "

And how long will we have to wait until it develops into a democratic, fair and equal society and finally gets rid of mafia bosses, war criminals, and other dubious characters? Keep in mind that in Kosovo, unlike in Serbia, these 'primitive and brutal leaders' from war times are still in power nowadays. And with the clan based society, I have not much hope that the next generation of Kosovo citizens will managed to achieve that goal.

Farmer, you are wrong, Albanians has stolen part of Serbian territory and I am not quite sure who should leave someone in piece and who should mind his own business. If you steal something from someone you cannot say - leave me in peace. History is constantly changing, do not forget about it.......as I see, Serbia is getting better and better image in the world and you are still not recognized by more than a half countries in the world, with more than 2/3 of world's population.....

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Mr. Davenport's comments indicate that Serbia is being fitted with a sturdy harness to ensure she will do that which she has promised. This will be a long arduous process for Serbia. I do hope Serbia is committed to joining the EU, otherwise it will be back to square one and all will have been for naught. If this effort fails it will be Serbia's citizens that will suffer.

There are too many things that Serbia has to do. And it is not only because of the EU access, but because of its own development and progress. The hardest issue which needs to be addressed is relations between Belgrade and Pristina. I believe some solution could be achieved which would not include recognition Kosovo's independence by Serbia.

Excellent, I along with what I believe will be the majority of Kosovar citizens, can live with this outcome! As long as Serbia is truly willing to normalize its relations with neighboring Kosova, and the government of Serbia does in fact sign a legally binding agreement with the government of Kosova and the EU that states, that Serbia will not pose a aggressive threat towards neighboring Kosova's sovereignty or borders, and will not hinder Kosova's path & progress towards EU & NATO membership! We all know, that currently it is difficult for Serbia to swallow the fact of Kosova's independence, we must give Serbia & her future leaders time to evolve into a truly democratic entity, too much damage was inflicted upon the Serbian psych by its former primitive & brutal leaders! The process, of Serbian recognition of Kosova' independence should not be rushed, as many of the current leaders of Serbia, will only use it to hurt the ordinary citizen within Serbia & surrounding region! Patience is a virtue, within 10-20 years we will have a Serbian leader, the likes of (Zoran Djindjic) that will form a truly democratic Serbian government, that will not only recognize Kosova's independence formally & explicitly, but will be very eager to do so! I, personally see Serbia's progress towards EU membership as a great positive for Kosova, and I am sure many share the same view, both in Kosova & Serbia proper!
