Croatia is in the EU and isn't paying attention to the (Cyrillic writing), why should Serbia which is NOT in the EU?
Serbia can always say when others abide by your rules, then we will.

I thought that EU already declared that it was a custom that countries joining EU did not lose their benefits from existing bilateral agreements? Remember Croatia and their cigarette deal with Serbia? They did not have to renegotiate it.

Serbia should publicly announce that it is exploring all its options, including joining the EU or the Russian-led Eurasian Union. The EU will then very quickly change its tune. It can’t afford to have Serbia turn its back on the EU. This would expose the EU to ridicule. If poor Ukraine and poor Serbia see no prosperous future in the EU, then perhaps the EU Emperor really has no clothes.

This does show that the EU will arbitrarily add new conditions at its whim. The pipeline deal had been in the works for years - why didn't the EU say anything about it them?
Also in regards to "and could lead to ecological damage" one has to wonder why the EU didn't complain about NATO environmental damage - bombing oil refineries, chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, Danube bridges, and so on. And why didn't the EU countries help clean up all that pollution or DU mess?

The EU did not care and hasn't cared about the NATO pollution in the area. They are hypocrites and it seems it is all about control of everything or somehow getting a slice of the action/profits.

Another EU shakedown. Belgrade can expect much more of this as Brussels will demand adoption and effective implementation years before Belgrade joins the EU, something it still hasn't enforced on other (now) EU members, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania. Belgrade has a choice, silently accept this or tell Brussels it will implement regulations when it is fit and ready at some point before it becomes ad EU member state.

As for the accession date, IGC etc. there is still silence about how far German, British (and their under the skirts supporters, NL etc.) demands that each chapter of the acquis communautaire is linked to 'normalization with Kosovo' (LOL!) will apply. There is no success yet until all the details are in black and white. The rest is simply PR fluff.

Meanwhile, Baku yesterday hosted the ceremonial signing of the Final Investment Decision for the Shah Deniz II project, including the first pipeline of the Southern Energy Corridor. This will bring Caspian gas to Europe, including via the TAP pipeline through Greece and Albania to Italy. Albania will be getting 60 million euros worth of new and upgraded roads before actual pipeline construction begins and work on the roads is supposed to start in the coming year. Perhaps Serbia can arrange for a line running north off the TAP if South Stream falls through.

SO well before Serbia is a full on member it apparently has to have EU dictated laws - especially in any dealings with anyone other than the EUSSR!

....And I thought the purpose of EU accession and membership process was to bring laws in line with EU - not to retrospectively inviolate the sovereign nations laws already passed.

If South Stream is not "EU" compatible I wonder if the EU wishes to pick holes at all other business dealings with EU nation businesses - they would all be equally inadequate as all regulated not by EU rules but Serbian. I have not seen any substance to this "not EU law" - why do these EU nobs not specify what they mean. This is a mockery and shows how shambolic the EU is becoming nothing more than a political charade for EUSSR big business interest at the expense of citizens.

The EU politburo has it´s Serbian quisling regime under it´s shiny boot al right but given the events Russia-Ukraine, people might get "funny" ideas and may, god forbid, start to wake up from their Zombie-sleep walking into the €U-trap.
