PM, his deputy to attend intergovernmental conference

Prime Minister Ivica Dačić has said that he and his first deputy Aleksandar Vučić will take part in the first intergovernmental conference with the EU.

"We absolutely do not interpret it as a requirement to change our view, because we have no intention of recognizing Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, but we do intend to establish normal relations," he said

TRANSLATION

We don't intend to FORMALLY recognize Kosovo's independence but we intend to establish normal relations like we have done with other countries.

It’s a great new for Serbia.This is a historic event for Serbia, the day that many generations have awaited and the political goal of many politicians and Government. Serbia has waited for years for this report to the EC, trying to cope with their problems and adapt through structural reforms to EU standards. We all know that it was not easy, we are made tough decisions, there were a lot of problems, even sometimes Serbia was blackmailed by the EU. This is the end of a difficult start.
