"Aye, only the Serbs wanted to live in a Greater Serbia aka Yugoslavia"
No, Yugoslavia was a Croat's idea and Croatia and Slovenia wanted Serbian help to get out from under the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and they both wanted territories controlled or threatened by Italy, such as Dalmatia & Istria.
It was Serbian troops which did secure Dalmatia at the end of WWI. Croats and Slovenes were on the Austrian side and fought against Serbia and Serbs.
Serbs were actually foolish to join in a state with those who'd been enemies.
Both Croatia and Slovenia became the GREATER when they joined up with Yugoslavia.
Croatia got lands it didn't have before. Besides Dalmatia, Croatia got Slavonia (which had a large Serbian population), and part of Istria.
If Serbs had stayed independent after WWI, they would have had a greater Serbia, for the Serbs in Dalmatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina wanted to join Serbia. Plus Slavonia would have been independent or divided between Serbia and maybe Croatia or Hungary.
So, Serbia was cheated, and during Yugoslavia under Tito, Serbs were very underrepresented in the government. Slovenes and Croats were overrepresented and they worked to weaken Serbia by carving out autonomous areas.
There were no autonomous areas carved out of Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina. Slavonia, Dalmatia, Istria or making Herzegovina autonomous never happened.
