German Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated that the first accession conference with Serbia can be held in January.

It’s a great new for Serbia.This is a historic event for Serbia, the day that many generations have awaited and the political goal of many politicians and Government. Serbia has waited for years for this report to the EC, trying to cope with their problems and adapt through structural reforms to EU standards. We all know that it was not easy, we are made tough decisions, there were a lot of problems, even sometimes Serbia was blackmailed by the EU. This is the end of a difficult start.

"Serbia has now fully implemented all the necessary steps to continue the normalization of relations with Priština."
Finally we get a confirmation for adopting a lot of reforms. Serbia is moving forward.
