Vučić expects to be "targeted by tycoons"

This gentleman seems to me to be a very honest and conscientious person who care about Serbia as a whole as opposed to caring only about the interests of a few rich people who became wealthy not through any special talent or achievements but by theft and fraud.Kudos to him for showing courage and determination and I urge all righteous Serbs to support him because I have a feeling Serbian politics are about to get messy.twfvmtw

He is very brave and he is doing against tycoons, which were the favorite for many politicians. Unfortunately, of course that everyone can expect attacks on him.

"Do you think that (Miroslav) Mišković and other tycoons who are in the process of trial or completion of investigation, will quietly and idly wait for the end of the trial, or do something. I think they not sit idly, but will undertake all they can, that is, inject millions and millions of euros into the election campaign against the SNS and me, that is, against the changes that we are implementing," Vučić said.

I am really troubled by his comment. Maybe Miskovic is more than likely guilty, but his trial has not concluded and he is accusing Miskovic of attacking him in the future politically. I think this speaks to an abuse of Miskovic's right to a trial and a personal attack that oddly accuses Miskovic of attacking Vucic personally.

I am not going to say that Vucic's anti corruption campaign isn't a good thing, but I will say that Vucic is not the heroic underdog he makes himself out to be.

Jesus... give it a rest already with this North Korean style propaganda. We get it, Vucic is the "Dear Leader" who descended from heaven, knows everything and can do no wrong... how pathetic and lowly can you get?

Of course Vucic is talking nonsense. He has a remarkable talent for populism and pomposity though. I've never seen any Serbian politician take themselves so seriously and as in life ones that take themselves too seriously (with some kind of Mother Teresa complex) should be avoided.

Bganon, you may have a point, but we have little alternative. At least with this guy we get some effort. Ambition and lust for glory are not good personal habits, but they are not bad for results and Serbia does need results. I suppose we don't need to like him personally, as long as he keeps trying to do a good job.
