Wow! Didn´t took long for an Otpor! "observer" to spew the official €USSR propaganda about events in Ukraine. Such drivel aside, here´s a valid view:

"Brussels did not offer Kiev a "deal" - they demanded unconditional surrender. Current trade arrangements with Russia, far more favorable to Ukraine than what the EU offers, would have ended - yet Kiev would have nothing to show for it but promises of eventual EU "aid."

Think of it this way: someone offers you a "deal" to quit your job, and in return he'll move into your house, take all your possessions (to do with them as he pleases) while you go beg on the street to make rent (because you have to support him living in your house now), all for a promise that in a decade or so, he might give you some money. Maybe. If he's not broke by then.

Would you do such a thing? No? Then why would Ukraine?"

Perhaps Mr. Yanukovych would start listening to his constituents. People don't demonstrate throughout the whole country in severe subzero temperatures because they're pitted by the CIA or a "Polish-Lithuanian mafia" or sort of.

The whole number of people protesting last Sunday against president Yanukovych and his government was estimated by different news agencies between 300,000 (the lowest) and over half a million (the highest estimates).

Anyone who has even a limited knowledge of political science and policy analysis can easily figure out that the protest is close to reaching a point of no return.

Yanukovych and his government will have to tread very thinly and cautiously because in case of using excessive force they'll risk a double whammy; a powerful wave of international condemnation together with a possible visa ban imposed on government officials by major Western powers and, domestically, a wave of strikes that will paralyse the country and forcing an early election.

Eastern Europeans have seen this CIA-movie so many times, they not only puke at it but also knows it´s every move minute by minute.

Of course, The Polish-Lithuanian mob and their local sell-outs are happy with a fist full of dollars and a new mobile phone, the others (like in Belgrade where it all began)with free booze and party all night long with DJ NATO, but UKRAINE is not falling anywhere near this €USSR/NATO trap even if it was baited (the Titanic´s couldn´t even afford THAT).

Also related to this: Turns out the infamous Srdja Popovic and his wife and Otpor!/CANVAS franchise is employed by non less than Stratfor.

“protests that gather up to 300,000 people.”

In fact the square and the coming strets can home only 100 000 men. So the figures were a part of the EU pressing. Neither they were offered even a candidacy status. It wasn’t a champagne but an empty bottle after champagne.

“because of the force used by the police against the protesters.”

We have enough video evidence that the Nazi minded people from the western provinces provoked the police actively. Also we have the same instructions someone supplied the “revolutionaries” in the Ukraine , in Egypt , in Libya , in Syria ect.

“NATO have urged the Ukrainian government and the opposition … “

Most cynic statements were made while some NATO members interfered home affairs by siding the opposition agaist the legal state power. Thanks a lot coz for the first time this year Azarov and Yanuk started to speak Russian. Azarov spoke with such an anger in the parliament that I started to love him. Parliament is a saint place hate the Nazi hate to hear Russian. So he spoke deliberately undiplomatic and very long.

In the Ukraine the West will have what Putin once called “от мертвого осла уши “. Yet Yanuk has not used the strategic reserve of his known as Russia. Seems that he is waking up to realize that his electorate is in the east and central regions. If I were to decide I would make a referendum in every region to ask if people want to stick Russia or EU. Then Gayurope would have several angry poor western regions.
