Serbia ranked 72nd out of 177 nations, a position shared with Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, and Sao Tome and Principe. Montenegro and Macedonia are both higher up on the list and share 67th place, while Croatia holds 57th place and Slovenia holds 43rd place.

Worth to mention that Kosovo under the Thaci regime 'improved' its position from 105 to 111, 6 places down, sharing the position with such great countries as Ethiopia(Africa) and Tanzania(Africa). And, as last year, the most corrupt country in Europe is Albania (on #116 in 2013)

Congratulations !

My country is much lower … Though it’s big question how to count corruption the general status quo is evident. But here I’d like to advocate corruption a bit. Just a bit … The thing is that corruption not only harms the economy. In some cases corruption becomes a driver of development. I mean it helps us to withstand other big problems business had to face. One is bureaucracy and the other are big taxes that kill business almost everywhere. I have it all under my skin so I act according to a Russian saying :

ПОКА У НАС БАРДАК , МЫ НЕПОБЕДИМЫ !

It is evident that the government, especially Vucic makes every effort to reduce the level of corruption at a much lower level. This process must be comprehensive and in-depth, but it will certainly last long. We can not expect prosperity until we solve this scourge.
