LOL Sudyka, how is it possible that, according to your own words: "I think you overestimate Russia's importance in the lives of the average Polish people. Overall, we could not be bothered." while at the same time, according to your own words: "Vast majority of Poles are 100% against Kosovo recognition and protested many times in large numbers against it."

So how come Russia, which occupied Poland, split it in half with Hitler, etc etc, does not bother Poles that much, but for Kosovo they go out in "large numbers" and "many times" to protest? We are really delighted by the importance given to us because some say Kosovo is a black hole, worth nothing. Not for the Poles it ain't, apparently.

I hope we are going to stop here. You are a better diplomatist than I am – congrats ! But both of us keep our own vision of the events. In the Ukraine Poland is the vanguard of the anti-Russian front EU formed inside and outside this Russian land. It is like Danzig that the Germans will never call somehow else. Whatever happens within the decades to come Ukraine will remain Malorossia for us and by the way for the Poles. This is what we mean strategically but tactically whoever gains the battle he will have a big hole in his budget plus the multiple problems and contradictions Ukraine has been gathering 22 years. As you must have noticed for the time being we are taking the upper hand.

A lot of sh*t will soon enter the ventilator to demoralize the EU grant-fed opposition. They are already demoralized and soon will be unmasked as agents of influence. You know Peter we are stronger in most of the components vital for the outcome of the battle. Sikorsky is weaker than Lavrov , Komorovsky is a комар against Putin , EU has no will or even a mechanism to react fast , Russian army is stronger than the EU members of NATO , we have free money ect. So I do not share your idea we have nothing to give to the Ukraine and Serbia. Europe is also corrupted though camouflaged. Besides we can give them love , shield and national dignity. Meanwhile EU offered only a photo of a carrot and a lot of empty words that amused the Turks most of all ...

I think you overestimate Russia's importance in the lives of the average Polish people. Overall, we could not be bothered. Sure, we distrust you and fear you, but this is nothing personal. There are no such things as friends in politics, only interests, and Russia is no exception. Our interests matter most to us and you have always worked against our interests, therefore our stance towards you. It's really that simple.

And this counts for Ukraine and Serbia too. There is nothing Russia can offer either of these two countries. Both are too poor and too corrupt and should be focusing on their own internal interests first and foremost, rather than submitting to either external larger power (socialist EU or imperialist Russia), who have only their interests on their minds and not some "friendships", like you may feel that you have with Ukraine and Serbia as nations. And why should we not call ourselves friends of those nations? Because our corrupt, pro-EU, spineless government recognized Kosovo? Vast majority of Poles are 100% against Kosovo recognition and protested many times in large numbers against it. And about those Ukrainians that hate Poles, well, we have hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians living and working in Poland and probably just as many, who would want to move here and leave their corrutpt and disfunctional oligarch-run state. Things are not black and white only, you know?

And finally, at least we don't have imperialist intentions towards them with the intention of adding them to our sphere of influence to counter the West's spheres of influence in Europe, like you do, with your post-Soviet mentality and USSR 2.0 in the form of the Eurasian Union.

Aside from a few USSR-nostalgic comrades in Donbass and Crimea, I doubt most of Ukraine would want a repeat of this dark period in their history. I think these protests are a good refleciton of this, wouldn't you say? Or let me guess: this is the work of Polish provocateurs and instigators, working against Russia's influence in Ukraine? ;)

“ … only revolution, ala Poland in the 80's, will save this country”

It won’t coz you cannot enter the same water twice. Though the sponsors and the final target of the two revolts are the same the diseases are different. So you cannot use the same pills. Also if you are an honest man you should always say that “Cartagena ( in Polish – Russia) must be destroyed”. Being an Eurosceptic does not make you a friend of ours. Two days Security Council of Poland gathered to decide how to use the sudden chance in the Ukraine. Forget it ! Seems that Poland , Sweden and Lithuania are here to revenge us for the Poltava battle. That was a good battle to change Europe for long. Sweden of Carl 12 has become a neutral state , Poland stopped to play a significant role and Lithuania shut up forever.

This time we also have better chances as once your then President Kwasnevski said the biggest difference between the Poles and the Russians is that “the Poles fight till the first blood while the Russians fight till the last”. So keep your advice for yourself and do not try to look neutral. Samurai should always choose a way that brings to his death while Pole always chose a route that harms Russia most. In the Ukraine once created by the Poles for the Austrian money you gained only biting away several western provinces that equally hate you too.Do not pretend being a friend to the Serbs too. Everybody knows what you are coming here for.

In so many ways, this reminds me of our Solidarnoœć movement of the 80's. I truly wish Ukrainians all the best of luck to fight for their freedom and for a government that is willing to try and deliver what they desire. While perhaps wanting to integrate with the EU is not in the interests of the Ukraine in this day and age, I support their desire not to be forced into the Russian Customs Union and not to be ruled by a corrupt government that has done nothing to curb unemployment.

If there are thousands of young protestors in cities, like Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, and even hundreds in cities like Donetsk and Simferopol (which are generally pro-Russian), then it goes to show that the people do not want what the government has decided. Ukraine needs a drastic change, because the country as it is is poor, corrupt, corrupt, corrupt and without any future prospect of things getting better. There are plenty of young Ukrainians living and working in Kraków, who are all pretty much uniform when it comes to how miserable the country is now. In Poland they have three times the buying power, salaries and pension than they would back home.

Still, on the other hand, a bit of patience will not hurt them. They can just vote him out at the next election. Yanukovich has just shot himself in the foot. Unless he pulls a Lukashenka, then only revolution, ala Poland in the 80's, will save this country from crypto-commie dictatorship.

At least the world can see the real hooligans in action. Those EU backed thugs destroying a city/country and causing violence because they didn't get their own way. Another example of how democracy is a farce.

If they somehow managed to take control, the Ukraine will fragment and face a similar fate as ex-YU. The part breaking from Russian influence will experience bankruptcy, the direction the previous government was leading. And lets not forget, that is the reason they were ousted.

There's basically no difference between the Ukraine and Thailand a the moment. One group refuses to accept the legal authority of the other because democracy did not produce the results they demanded, so they will ignore democracy to get what they want.

In both cases, the opposition is undermining the rule of law (freely elected leaders/parties enacting or not legal and constitutionally compatible decisions).

In the Ukraine, the almost total silence from the Western countries is telling, because they have long since taken sides an are unwilling to condemn the opposition who demand the overthrow of the legally elected authorities. Even Tymoshenko has called for this, which in quite good, because her own words condemn her to further years prison.

There are minimal consequences for whatever you say or do if the West backs you, but if the West doesn't back you, they scream and shout and their media joins the witch hunt. Now where have we seen this before?

Of course, the West and the EU are not responsible for anything either, because that would go against the usual propaganda that it is always the Russians fault. Only morons believe this.

The opposition has called a nationwide strike from Monday, reported Reuters,

The EU-financed opposition obviously hasn't explained to Ukrainians what is the EU stands for. When the truth finally dawns, that they and millions of others, have been conned by an illegal, self serving, inward looking, totalitarian mega-state, run purely for the benefit of a handful of parasites in Brussels, there will be an almighty cheer. The EU is nothing but a playground for conmen, failed politicians and thieves. Yanuk has nobody to rely on. Just few days ago he was in a strange situation that the Russians call “свой среди чужих и чужой среди своих”. But now everything has worsened ever more and he can rely nobody. He is a stranger for both of the Ukraines. Dnieper is the natural border between us and the Gayrope. I am afraid we shall see the Yugoslavian or the Lebanon scenario. Some ask the US to bring troops some ask Russia to do the same. In any case Europe brings disaster and starvation to the Ukraine. They won’t be able to sell their own goods on their soil. Very bad.
