The Serbian government has designated facilities for the accommodation of asylum seekers who are currently in Obrenovac, near Belgrade.

Local people have misconceptions about asylum seekers. They fear that the asylum seekers want to steal fuel or food from the locals. The state must guarantee the safety of the local population, as well as asylum seekers.
