"Especially those in need. Imagine if Serbian refugees were treated this way when they went to other countries in their time of need."

Serb refugees STILL cannot return to their homes in Croatia, the Croat-Muslim Federation and Kosovo even though the wars are decade/s past.

Many Serb refugees were refused help in many nations and are still stuck in collective centers.

And as for these refugees in Serbia - they will increase the crime rate. There was already at least one rape committed by them in the last year or two.
They are only USING Serbia to try and get into the EU. Serbia is having to use its precious resources to feed them when many of its own people are still homeless from the wars.

Why isn't the wealthier European countries welcoming them with open arms - after all it's THESE countries and the U.S. and the wealthy Gulf countries who are fueling the war by financing the mercenaries and uprising in Syria.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are bankrolling the war in Syria and they should have to provide funds for the refugees.

Also, Serbia needs to be tougher on its border with Macedonia as that's where most of them are entering. Bulgaria is already building a wall between it and Turkey to stem the tide.

Serbs are very hospitable to foreigners. There isn't a nation on earth more welcoming to foreigners.

@ AVNI-Please stop with your hatred, it will eat you alive. I can understand residents fear, but please give them a chance, imagine if you were forced to run and no one wants to help. It is a human tragedy and sham on countries and their terrorists who started war in order to steel piece of someones land.

@Danilo

Burning of this barrack proves how much Serbs like foreigners. Especially those in need. Imagine if Serbian refugees were treated this way when they went to other countries in their time of need. You chose the wrong time to talk about Serbian hospitality.

Again, the problems and prejudices in Serbia! Local people have misconceptions about asylum seekers. They fear that the asylum seekers want to steal fuel or food from the locals. The state must guarantee the safety of the local population, as well as asylum seekers.
