More South stream and Russia,CSTO,BRICS influence and less, preferably nothing at all with €USSR/Titanic.

Serbs should wake´s up and realize that the free multipolar world is here and the strangle-hold of the western powers who still are trying their best to destroy everything Serbian, is getting weaker.

After 40 years, finally coming to the signing of a capital investment project, such as South Stream. Serbia has officially included in the gas streams and it becomes important gas hub in Europe. I hope that the papers go as planned.

A choice between begging the EU for crumbs, depending on how the Germans are feeling on the day, or an almost equal partnership with the Russians. Either way, Belgrade is in a weak position but has a much better deal from this South Stream contract. Some people still believe EU promises that never amount to much(apart from pre-accession hand out money) and are subject to change on a whim, but no cold, hard cash with infrastructure built. The EU talks, others pay.

For many years media sources such as Newsweek, Time, the BBC and CNN, have reported allegations that Putin and his allies have stashed away 100's of millions (if not billions) in offshore accounts and that most or all of this money is coming from energy deals.
It would not surprise me that the reason behind an offshore company, managing the South Stream project, has been solely constructed to hide the interests of the parties involved in this deal, be they Russian or Serbian.
I also suspect that for that reason the Russians (and the Serbian government) don't like journalists asking too many questions regarding this case.
Off-Shore companies don't pay taxes, which means that the Serbian public is getting a rough deal, especially in these hard and difficult times.
In my opinion there should be an independent inquiry into the legal validity of our government being able to conduct business in such a nontransparent way.
If the government refuses then we know something shady is going on. If they agree we might be able to find out who is behind the offshore construction.

South Stream will not only provide energy efficiency Serbia, but this project should be viewed as a large sphere of influence of Russia. On that way, Serbian's protection increases, especially if you are known that Serbia has be surrounded by the member states of NATO. This can only help us in maintaining our military neutrality. After this we had in the past, we see the consequences of all of 1999 onwards.

This is the very best contract Serbia has signed since 1999!
"Insider" never asks any questions about how Serbia is screwed permanently by the EU but they still succeed to attract some poor spirits like Comm Parrison and other otporistas. Ask yourself how comes!
Let me put it this way: " Blessed are the poor minded, since the kingdom of God is theirs"
Amen

I wouldn't hand over financial management of any serious project to the Serbian side because the money would just get sucked up and the project would never go anywhere.
Russians are friends but not crazy!

"The only domestic gas storage facility was handed over to be managed by the Russian side. Finally, Serbia is the only country on the main route of the pipeline that agreed to be a minority partner and the only that agreed for this project to be managed from the offshore zone."

To sum up: Serbia is the only country that agreed to some dubious deal instead of a real, equal partnership and will be ripped of by Russia not only by overpriced gas contracts
