"Commenting on the destruction of Cyrillic signs in Croatia and recent pro-Nazi chants at a football match, he stated that Serbia had refrained from reacting to those incidents solely because it did not want to harm the relations with its neighbor."

These treasonous Serbian puppet politician worms are below contempt. Only in Serbia is this tolerated.

@Kevin Banovac- What a hell are you talking about. You got it all in reverse. Croats done all destruction, death camps and ethnic cleansing. Serbs done none of it until they were forced to protect themselves from the same fate as in WW2, so please stop turning truth on its head. Were the Serbs in Croatia seposed to let Croats lead them to Jasenovac again without trying, at least, protect themselves, this time. How interesting, calling ethnic cleansing "arranged move". Shameful lies over and over and again. I guess, you all learned history from your elders who done "good deeds" to Serbs during WW2.

Kevin,

No question, Serb aggression in Croatia in the 90s was horrendous. However, I believe that Croatia faces a serious legal challenge: proving that Serb aggression in Croatia was worse than Serb aggression in Bosnia, whose own genocide suit has already failed. If Bosnia couldn't win arguing that Srebrenica was proof of Belgrade-directed genocide, what hope does Croatia have? There were even individual Serbs convicted of genocide over Srebrenica, but what Serb has been convicted of genocide for crimes in Croatia? On the contrary, we have lately seen key Serbian figures acquitted entirely (Momcilo Perisic, Jovica Stanisic). And consider that the Vukovar Three (Sljivancanin, Radic, Mrksic) got off pretty lightly. Finally, Serbia can argue that the Croats were no saints. They'll bring up the Ustashi, the provacative behavior of the HDZ in the 80s and 90s, the widespread ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Croatia in 1995, and probably Croatian aggression in Bosnia in an effort to create Herceg Bosna.

The war we had in ex-YU was specific, because people were fighting against their yesterday's friends and neighbors. That war left deep scars, but for our future and for the future of our children, we have to put a side strong emotions, we still feel, and start the process of reconciliation.

Even as a Croat, I have to agree with the Serbian perspective to not unilaterally withdraw the genocide lawsuit. However, that doesn't mean I believe that Serbia will be able successful in their claim. With the ICTY verdict on Operation Storm and the evidence of planned evacuation orders, I don't see how Serbia can be successful (at least on that portion of the claim). On the other hand, with the large scale eviction of non-serb population in Krajina (during Serb occupation), the complete destruction of Vukovar, heavy damage to cities like Osijek, Vinkovinci, Gospic, and Zadar, deportation of Croatian civilians to concentration camps in Serbia, and the execution of Croatian civilians, I believe the Croatian claim to be strong.

Serbia's frivolously revengeful "Genocide" lawsuit against NATO and EU Croatia is a sad attempt to intimidate once again vicitims in their quest for justice.

Croatia must not cowardly drop victim's justified demands for justice which includes an apology, recogition, war reparations and multi billion dollar financial compensation.

Did I mention Croatia must do as Greece does to "Macedonia" although Greece nevered suffered anyhing close to what Croatia has.

Serbia has no case.
Trying to equate world war actions to aggression of Serbia during the 1990's is futile.

Croatia will win and the sooner the better..............

In Serbia, there is no manifestation of ethnic hatred and to this argument is in favor of Serbia. You don't need to pull of genocide countersuit against Croatia until Croatia do the same because it would be unfair to the Serbs who lost their lives or homes in previous conflicts.
