EU talks "best chance to change Dayton"

The Dayton agreement should be changed, and a special opportunity to do that is to move closer to the European Union, says Bakir Izetbegović.

Dayton has to "evolve" - that's my nicest way of putting it. Dodik is a 2-bit fascist hack, and that's also my nicest way of saying it. Just imagine it in yr language.

As for the threats fr some of my not so highly esteemed colleagues - I thought the Milosevic era was finally over? Or not??

Dodik is as far from a fasist as you can come while Alija Izetbegovic served a prison sentence for his fasist ideas which is something that you, convieniently enough, "forgot" to mention. We will never agree to any change of Dayton, you signed it, we won the war and unless you dont want another one you should let it be.

Roberto, you amaze me. What threats?

Bosnia has failed. The only thing keeping it alive was the comprimise at Dayton and the flow of western money. Izetbegovic did nothing to make Bosnia a success and now Izetbegovic wants a reward. He wants all the land, all the power, but not all the people.

If his part of the country was run like switzerland, people from RS would be trying to move there. But it is not a success in any terms, and Milosevic died a long time ago, and you really can not blame anyone for its continued failure.

Now you want to blame Dodik. How did Dodik prevent the Federation's economy from succeeding, he certianly has no sway there, westerners certianly don't listen to him? Is it Dodik that makes the Muslims and Croats fight in Hercegovina? And yet the RS is more successful, even though it does not have as many urban areas. The people who live in the Federation are as har working as anyone else and they need jobs, schools for their kids, and services for their old people and all Izetbegovic wants is to avoid scrutiny for his failure to lead.

Bosnia is not functioning as the country since 1990s and it has no hope to be united, time for split up now, much beter solution then exsisting situation.

I don't agree with Izetbegovic. Any change of the Dayton Accords would lead to destabilization, and the first Izetbegovic should have known that. Muslims and Croats kept trying to limit the powers of the Republic of Serbian, so that any changes in the Dayton Agreement was bad move.

odd how his poppa decided it was time to leave the country his state was part of didn't ask the rest of the country what their thoughts were. sure, he may have learned that his daddy's path brought war to his nation, but if its a bad way to go, why does he wish it to still be?
