I personally think we could all learn more from the former Australian PM Paul Keating when he said this about World War One during the Remembrance Day, then from a scaremongering 'ambassador': [link]
(adrian kola, 13 November 2013 12:24)

When Prime Minister, Keating sent warships to the Gulf to enforce a US-led blockade of Iraq so if he loathed what the past leaders had done why dint he stick to his principles and stay out of the Gulf. Political hypocrisy knows no limit; anyway Keating is media tart who likes to be noticed so he makes controversial statements.

Peggy, Peggy. We all have our own opinions eh? I read and like your blogs most of the times. Better head down to Tassie.

Unfortunately, Chepurin is right. When you look at the statistics of all wars, we see that the Serbs suffered the most, living in Yugoslavia, which was based on "brotherhood and unity". Yugoslavia is its existence ended in a bloody war, which has left a deep mark on all nations. Not even 18 years later there is no reconciliation - it can be seen by breaking boards with the Cyrillic alphabet over Croatia. And there are the passion and constant striving for the Kosovo by Albanians. There is still danger of conflicts.

When it was time for action the Russian big brother under Putin withdrew the Russian soldiers from the craddle of Serbdom. But, hey, as long as you and the Serbs are happy with words of support, I don't see any problem.
---
This has been specified many times to you guys before. Russia was weak back then and was in no position to help.

How much more proof do some people need to finally accept that the west is no friend of Serbia?
(Peggy, 13 November 2013 05:22)

You mean that Serbia is not a friend of the West ?
---
No, I mean west is not a friend to Serbia. I cannot put it in a simpler way. Is your comprehension that bad?

Serbia needs to put their support behind countries willing to accept her and respect her.
(Peggy, 13 November 2013 05:22)

Woow, not sure why you have such a low opinion for Serbia. I don't think Serbia has such a low self-esteem to need others' acceptance and respect.

Time to stop putting words in my mouth. Again, do you understand what you read? IF not please stay out of forum because you really, really look stupid.

As an ambassador, I would've thought that your role would be to promote peace and push for long lasting neighbourly relations (especially in the Balkans where a single misunderstood word can be interpreted as a bullet) and not to cherish former wars and live in the past.

Boy, you are so desperate to twist his words. Wow, you are even mentioning Paul Keating, the backstabber.

The man stated a fact which is very different to promoting a war. If you can't understand what the article says then don't comment on it. You will not look stupid.

(Peggy, 13 November 2013 05:22)

Make a difference with statements and words of support (i.e. everything that Serbs want to hear) in order to get NIS for a fistful of Euros?! When it was time for action the Russian big brother ignored the Serb little brother begging to not let 1244 pass. When it was time for action the Russian big brother under Putin withdrew the Russian soldiers from the craddle of Serbdom. What a stupid thing to say. You Albanians always sing the same song. If you love Russia go there. Your lot can't wait to get out of Albania or Kosovo but you still love Albania and Kosovo as long as you control it. At least I was raised here so no surprise about my staying here.

That would be a dream come true for you and all your Albanians. You would just keep moving north without any resistance.

Yes, we love Russia and yes I live in Australia but that doesn't make me a hypocrite. Australia is really the only home I've known but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything that is decided here or love it. I can continue to try to make a difference here.

The bad news is that you can do nothing about our relations with Serbia. You even help as we know for sure when the rival barking chorus starts it only means we on the right road. Also I suppose that hatred for Serbia is the only thing that unites you. In all other issues you will bite each other throats. Like it was once with the Janata Party in India. But we really need your barking compass so please never stop it.

(Tony (from Berlin)

When in Germany I always stay at home with my German (not Volksdeutsche ) friend in Stuttgart. What I found there has shocked me first. Average Germans as well as the Italians have warmer (though mixed) feelings towards Russia than most of those we have saved from slavery and death. I like your posts and it’s not the first time that you tell the Serbs to stick Russia. I too believe it will be better for them. But most of the posters here are poor people with no prospects and a mere hope for the EU to come and save them from poverty. They are too primitive to see that all of them are equal victims of those who manipulate the puppets and demonize Serbs. And it’s not the USA only. Frau Merkel as you must know has started a kinda personal cold war against Russia to limit Germany’s domination in Europe. I hope you follow the events.

"In the First and Second World Wars, Serbia made the right choice and was always on the side of the winners," the Russian ambassador underscored. What a despicable thing to say! It just shows the deeply primitive, uncivilised and backward approach that Moscow upholds towards its neighbours in general and the Balkans specifically. What was actually accomplished in those wars? Nothing whatsoever. It just brought more suffering, suppression and death to locals people who were manipulated by career politicians. Serbia, as a pathetic little bully backed by its 'Orthodox Russian Brother', succeeded in carving up large sections of foreign lands and labelled them as 'Serbian'. Yeah that definitely made HER a winner as we have seen in the last Balkan/Yugoslav wars.

Ambassador Chepurin is absolutely correct - Serbia must remain an ally of Russia if both countries' interests are to be adequately recognised and supported. It would be very wrong of Serbia to focus its foreign (and in the case of Kosovo & Mitochia: its domestic) policy towards Germany-dominated EU. Berlin is already massively influencing its lapdogs in Zagreb and is trying to extend its influence over Pristina. Russian support of Serbian policy is an essential counterbalance to these threats.

Couldn't agree more with this Russian. A world war will either start in the middle east or here in the Balkans. The current Serbian pollies are so irrational, that they could instigate what we all fear. There must be a Serbian with "common sense"? Oh well, we all can live in hope that war will never happen. But who's kidding who with the yanks having started an "economic war" - HELL!, what happened to my super???

What's down in Tassie? You might need to actually say it. The rest here might be curious.

I personally think we could all learn more from the former Australian PM Paul Keating when he said this about World War One during the Remembrance Day, then from a scaremongering 'ambassador': [link]
