"Why would Mercedes want to invest in a money-losing uncompetitive enterprise like this one?
(@ Joe, 1 November 2013 21:20)"

The enterprise is uncompetitive because of bad management. A new investor like Mercedes will solve problems. Meanwhile, the government (read Vucic) will help out filling the gap with minimum wages.

This is the kind of real industrial re-development that Serbia should favor, instead of axing its development on services and agriculture.
Heavy industries should constitute the backbone of economy, since services are quickly shrinkable in case of economic decline and Serbian agriculture has no future in the EU (which itself has no future either)

Notice how everyone wants to talk to Vucic. We have a minister of economy as well, but these workers wanted to talk to Vucic alone. He works a lot, but should really consider delegating more. But again, that is why people love him, he works a lot, and solves Serbia's problems, one by one.

@Joe

Because many people work there and if given the chance, Vucic will make FAP successful again. Like he did with national aero transport.

The strike must have really made Mercedes want to invest. Why should Serbian taxpayers have to continue to support money-losing uncompetitive enterprises like this one?
